A 1975 hit, that captured my heart from the very beginning. It is one of the songs that you can play over and over again and never get tired of hearing it. Meisner is the only one who can really sing the song with higher pitch. Perhaps Barry Gibb can emulate the falsetto. Eagles are still one of the best band ever!

Each member of the Eagles is a super talented musician in their own right. Drummer Don Henley's first 2 albums were all over the radio in their day and spawned several big hits. I have had both since they were new. Check out Don Henley's THE BOYS OF SUMMER. It's hauntingly beautiful and soulful.

Kathy here - just found your channel and love this song! I am 68 years old, so I grew up listening to the Eagles. Yes, they are a Rock and Roll band, but they have some awesome songs that are ballads, like this one. OMG the Eagles were like Gods back in their day. Saw them live once in Atlanta back in the 70's and they put on an amazing show. Makes me happy to see the younger generation discover the great music my generation grew up on. The music from "back then" will just never be duplicated. Too much crap music out there now. My opinion! LOL But thank you for the reaction. They have a wonderful catalog of music and can't go wrong with anything of theirs you might react to.

The best group ever! Well, tied with the Beatles. The Eagles have tons of good songs. Watch hotel California live in Largo Maryland. Probably the best performance of theirs, and probably most any band ever! This song is one of my favorites though and I love this lead singer, Randy Meisner. He didn’t stay much longer after this with the band, because he was too kind, gentle and humble. Although they’re terrific talents, the founders of the band, Glenn Frey and Don Henley, especially Glenn Frey, treated Randy pretty badly. But that doesn’t make their songs any less great. Yes, watch hotel California and look for desperado. That’s a beautiful song also. Very short, but gorgeous tune, and lyrics.

Don't talk rubbish. This is a fine balance, but was no.4 in the US and No. 12 in UK. They had more than 6 no. 1 songs and some no.2 songs. Dude, Hotel California was their best no. 1 hit.

In my humble opinion the greatest ever American band. You might want to listen to Take it Easy from the same concert....it is amazing!! This band had 4 or 5 members all of whom could perform lead vocals. Thank you for a great reaction!! Best wishes from the UK.
