I've heard the air mouse works on a computer as well and so you can control your computer remotely like a smart tv with any old tv or monitor connected to it. From the perspective of a smart tv remote, however, the lack of a home button is a big problem.

Lee, you had the air mouse function on its lowest CPI setting. It has 4 of them and by upping the CPI value, movement becomes more rapid and more fluid. 100% agree about the home button though. I can't get mine to learn the functions of the remote it is replacing although that's only because I can't understand the shyte instructions that come with it.

It has a home button on the other side. I know it would be better on the opposite side but please look at the product before gripping so much. Also anyone can see the seek on the usb dongle so not sure why that threw you also. Finally the have upgraded the remote already so then there is that.

Thanks for the video Lee! Couldn't be without my 6 axis wireless air mouse/keyboard especially the Home button. On one of my older boxes if I hard press the home button it brings up the open proccesses so I can close them which I wish would work with all boxes. It's even better than my new GT King remote and only about £7.50. ✌

I personally feel like using the home button minimizes the app instead of closes it, allowing it to run in the background. I like using the back button cause it closes it out. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what ive gathered from my experience. Great review though, very helpful.

Hi Lee, Think TECH & try saying HOME using Voice Control to navigate to Home screen. I tried it on my Firestick Remote, so it will probably with on WeChip 2. I’m going to purchase WeChip 2 & hope to share my findings at a later date, Really like the idea of an integrated keyboard with air mouse functionality. Enjoyed your review because you made me think about the omission of the Home Button.🙃

There is simple criteria that determines best air mouse - ability to play RTS or Diablo with it. For this, it should be maximum smooth, cover whole screen and have all three mouse buttons + wheel. You cant press left+right with one finger.

Rii airmouse mx3 lasted like 3 years, before it broke, Bluetooth compatible, was very nice for playing word-games on steam.

I am not sure if my W2 is charging. The light behaviour stated in the manual is completely different to how my unit behaves. There is no solid red light when I try to charge it and no blue light when I press buttons usually. Does your unit show any light during charging?

@@leetvofficial I'm waiting for mine to get here, wore the air mouse button out on the W1, so end up pressing it 4- 5 times before it works now it was a Stella remote tho an yea I agree you shouldn't have to, the home button is fairly crucial. I use the double tap on home to get back to last app used alot, not sure how that's gonna work out with button remapping yet tho. 👍

The one I posted has a SMOOTH air mouse that moves quickly and can also move really slow like it's tracing the TV and it's easily better than the stock Shield TV. You have voice control, a home button that functions just like the Shield remote so you can record and more, completely plastic but bigger and heavier than the Shield TV remote. Basically it's a complete remote that'll replace any stock android TV remote

I tried 2 W1’s. One wouldn’t pair work at all.. The 2nd one, I couldn’t learn on/off or volume. Returned both.

BIG problems with the W2: When I switch it on (USB dongle installed in PC) or wake it up from resume and keep it on the touchpad side up, the touchpad is dead or choppy. I have to flip it over, press some buttons on the remote side, then flip it back to touchpad side, and all of a sudden the touchpad starts working. Anybody else seen that? Any fix?

To go home on firestick 4k hold down the voice button and just say "home". No need for home button!
