$85 for the Four Roses Private Select is a fantastic price! I think I paid close to $100 at the distillery, but it was a “B” so maybe that’s why? “E” is the higher corn mash bill (75%) with a slightly sweeter profile whereas the “B” is 35% rye and only 60% corn. Great store, thanks for sharing.

The Four Roses sib barrel proofs are incredible. Ive bought 3 of the OESO at 107 proof and 11 y/o. Arguably my favorite bottles i own. $85 is also a great price, i paid $100 for mine. The more rye spice ones are good also. Don’t sleep on their small batch select either!

Got a Russel’s batch 5 a few weeks ago for $160. Best places to get allocated bourbon from are grocery stores because they don’t mark up the price like liquor stores do. Problem is they don’t have it on the shelf and it’s gone immediately.

I get why people might want to use their fanciest bottle for an infinity bottle but I always recommend using a bottle that comes with a rubber cork instead of a regular one. All that opening and closing over years is going to break down a normal cork.

My first Russells 13 was 70$ from the VA ABC. Recently I paid 150$ for a second. I figured 220$ for 2 13 year old barrel proof Turkey bottles made sense. I guess I was right considering you paid more than that for one! I love being in a controlled state Cheers🥃

Good little selection there. I live in Thomson, Ga, super small town with only 3 "liquor stores", if you can even call 1 of them that. So anything allocated is near impossible to find. My main spot can keep me in Weller S.R. for around $40 and Blantons around $115 . But that's about it. I usually stick to Elijah Craig small batch myself. It runs around $30 here.

To answer your question, Old Ezra 7 year is an amazing bottle. Reminds me most batches of Barrel Bourbon. A definite buy at $80 or less. Would not pay $100 for it.

RR13 is a little too pricey for my taste at $300+ but I do understand the hype for it! The EHTSiB is pretty damn good, but not for over $150, because in my opinion it’s not insanely better than the EHTSB which I can usually get for $70. Great video as always!

Hit Columbia, SC on Friday. Got a bottle of Garrison Bros The Cowboy for $225 at Total Wine. It is INCREDIBLE. Also, picked up a Knob Creek 18 for $174. Not bad at all I thought.

the fact this store has multiple KC 18s sitting around at MSRP, multiple 4 Roses SBBPs, and so many other Tater bottles at *reasonable* markups is pretty amazing. if you see anything, even a KC 15, in my area it's either for a raffle or it's crazy markups. There is one chain that consistently drops stuff straight to shelves but it's swallowed up within a couple hours by the collectors (and probably resellers) who live nearby and check every day. I've landed a few good bottles but I'm always too late to get anything better than like ECBP/Henry McKenna level bottles. My state doesn't seem to get EHT, like ever, but luckily I actively dislike EHT Small Batch. You can find it just across the state border all day for $60-70 and if you hunt you'll find it for $45-50. You can even stumble upon EHT Straight Rye and Single Barrels (I like the rye, not so much the single barrel) for $80-100 if you are out hunting on a Friday during work hours. State allocations are stupid. It's so nutty how much a major metro that bleeds over a state line (in two non-ABC states) can vary in selection and price. Seems like old liquor laws are slowly eroding and hopefully we start to see more normalization across states. Also, BT is actually slowly letting the flood gates loose and some of their stuff is starting to normalize. The stores that ask $70+ for EHT Small Batch in the neighboring state are starting to pile up on bottles. Was in one store the other day and they had 6 or 7 cased of EHT Small Batch while the rest of their bourbon selection was awful. Those bottles are rotting away because the market, at least in their area, has finally said "nah, 70 is too high"

Adicitivo whiskey is Mexican, so definitely cannot be Bourbon. It is actually a single malt whiskey aged in American Oak and finished in Adicitivo Tequila casks. 5 y/o 80 proof. Have not tried it. Reviews I've seen/read are mixed.

I've recently got on social media bourbon groups and the biggest thing is how little someone paid. Most of the time, it's because they spend lots of time looking and sometimes they get lucky. It hours of looking worth a bit more money........yes! I'll pay a bit more to not have to jump through all the hoops. Nice hunt, that store had some really nice bottles. I still haven’t seen a Russell 13 in my area. Not sure what the going price is for that Four Roses LE 135th anniversary for $350 but that would be a cool bottle to have. I could have bought a Stagg Jr yesterday for $199 but not sure they are worth that without trying first.

300 for sussels reserve isnt terrible. Yes its only supposed to cost 80. But this is a bottle you cant find. At the end of the day its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And 300 isnt u heard of.

Old Ezra 7 is a great bottle. Not sure for $100 though. Personally wouldn’t spend more than $80. I got lucky and found it MSRP for $50
