This is as much a test for the coach as it is the team. Brasco is 1 from 1 against his old team mate and our most ardent foe. They always grow a leg against us and since the Sheedy era there just hasn’t been a realisation at the club that the fans want this. They know it - they rise for it - they more often than not beat us. Remember Sheedy winning 16 straight against them in his early years? Let’s get back to that!!!!

Absolute soft underbelly as I always said and suspected with EFC. They have beaten nobody of note. They cant beat the contenders, why, because they are NOT contenders. If we win contested possession and break even around the stoppage's we at least have a chance. In season's past one would only look at the form of both teams and pencil in a W for the blue baggers. However this year the competition is so even you can't really do that with any certainty. #godons

Would love to win this one, especially being Carlton. But in the bigger picture of the season, if we lose we can get a lot of players back after the bye and hopefully just waiting on draps and parish. Then finish season strong. I must admit I had to scratch my head on Confucius ...random story... my sister had her teenage son on iPhone tracking. She had tried calling him a few times with no answer. She could see he was down the end of the street near the train line and thought I better go check he's not laying in a ditch. So she walked town and spied him. Needless to say he was fine. I think he was getting treatment for groin awareness from a physiotherapist.

Yeah I rekon start with laverde on curnow, see how he goes. Curnow is pretty strong fella and you know his going to kick at least a couple no matter who we put on him. As long as laverde can hassle him enough to stop him going crazy with goals that's a good trade. If we can be clean and a full team effort we can win this. Gotta back the dons, I'll say by 10 points in a tight game

I fear that this is our season. Feel like we will either play some (I say some as we never play 4 quarters) scintillating football, or complete trash like we have the last month or so. They are very 1 dimensional, stoppages & not much else, they have a slow midfield, so this is a challenge for Scott to do something different against them. These are the kind of unlikely wins he would engineer for North, so lets see if he can do it for us.

I think setterfield needs to do most the inside work. If merrett gets tagged he should tag walsh. Then durham and caldwell who both had 23 last week can have like 35 each and the delivery into the forward line will be more potent and shots on goal will be twice as easy.
