I got a Taiji 1 a couple of weeks ago, I have only just managed to do a test pitch and was also disappointed that the fly only has a 1 way zip but I worked out that if you connect both sides of the door to the door peg and do up the the lower or both of the velcros without doing up the zip it is still really wind proof and mostly rain proof but you get a lot more ventilation and can cook in the vestibule as effectively as you would be able to if it could be unzipped from the top

I hear you. I was out recently and had to create a door holder out of my hiking poles so I could block the wind. Not ideal.. a savage tent besides that. Love it.

Great review and walkthrough! It looks like a brilliant little tent! I'm very impressed by the look of it, and I'm very tempted of getting one😅 I really do like the two vents, though, they together with the inner tent mesh top (on the 4 season inner) might still be creating a good enough airflow to vent out while cooking. Also, they're creating a nice little window to look out and get a feeling of what is happening outside😅

Great 1st impression video. Looks like a great wee tent and I agree, that colour is perfect. If you put an empty plastic bottle top in your peg bag you can use it to push in the tent pegs without pain. I tie mine to the peg bag so I don't lose it.

Couldn’t agree more with your 1st impression of this great tent - recently bought one from another KZbinr and am very excited to use it - for me for the budget conscious user it’s great. Bungee cords on the door tie outs like the Lanshan and as you said upgrade the guy out points should only make it even better 👍

I have the 4 season 3F UL TAIJI 2 (2 person tent) and I've been very pleased with it. Had it about 2 years now.

Cool Tent i like the Colour...Fair play to ya on the wild Camping any idea where your heading....i done a Night Hike in killarney National Park up Cardiac hill and over to Torc Waterfall and over to the Start of Torc Mountain.....Holy Crap i Switched off the My Head light and Flash light and could barely see my hand in Front of me and then the Creepy Feelings kicked in 😂 i got back to my Car Really Fast....

I reckon id be stuffing that into my own dry bags and get a lighter and smaller pack size. Looks decent and they're meant to be decent quality tents all round.

Likewise. The stuff sack is fair heavy. The inner of my back pack has a 70L dry bag so thinking of just placing the tent in that.. poles at the side. Save some weight. Thanks for the comment 😊

I'm always frustrated by the obvious niggles which would be easy to fix ; even if it adds a little cost ..An extra hanging loop ,2-way zip,and an array of pockets ..

@@craigy1872 woke up on a rainy mountain this morning and the single zip straight away was an issue. But with the aid of a trekking pole and some wizardry and managed a fix for such conditions. In saying that. Still would love a 2 way zipper.
