Recently bought a 996.2 coupe C2 manual after owning 2 x cabrio 996.1.Must say this 996.2 is the best 996 I have owned so far and while going through the documentation and service history I found out this beauty was bought at your dealership.Love your videos and maybe we will do business one day as I see that sometimes you buy a Porsche back....For now enjoying the great 996 and loving it without any IMS stress....

I have the same car in arctic silver so not as flashy a colour but still awesome. Sunroof delete, rear wiper delete, ROW M030 suspension and the GT3 style wheels. I always look back when walking away. Simply gorgeous!

Regarding colors, I’ve got a 99 C2 in Arena Red w/Savannah interior- color contrast is amazing and the beige looks so rich w/the red exterior. Also, may be biased but Arena Red > Guards any day- so much more depth to the paint- and just as rare!

Luke, i agree this is the best 996 around. without disclosing to much has the value risen since the last sale? Good examples are getting harder to find, Guards red is the best colour!

For a gen1 996 she is an absolute beauty! I have had many gen2’s always avoided gen1’s but after seeing this I am definitely open to buying one. Definitely better than the jade imo.

Looks great in Guards red and wheels look great too. Not a huge fan of the colour of the interior though. Had a Gen 1 996 GT3 for many years and loved that car.

The best colour combination is Arctic sliver metallic with the full red leather interior. That is a beautiful car though and well worth the money, if it was the gen 2 996 it would be perfect.

? Why do you regret it? I'm into year 4 owning mine as 3rd owner; spent as much in maintenance now as acquisition and my kids and I really enjoy it. Manual, yes IMS done twice now and advanced oil filtering by LN Eng too. Never did engine mounts or trans mounts; thinking the fancy new factory stereo isn't a key part of the experience when a new cab to arguably more substantial

This is a nice one, an ivory interior would have been nicer though IMO. Looking at other cars on your website, who at Porsche thought it was good taste to do gaudy coloured interiors where everything is the same bad colour??? Why not just option the change of seat and carpet but leave the wheel and dash black? Some of them are just too much!

Love the car, can’t stand the wheels. Maybe it’s my OCD but twists look fine on the left hand side of the car. On the right hand side they look like they’re on “backwards”. But then I like savannah so what do I know?

Hi Jake. They are "Top Gear" back boxes. The rest of the exhaust system is standard.

Yes the new owner has been in contact since this video was uploaded and he has sent photos of what he’s been up to with it etc. I think the old owner was just too busy to properly enjoy the car to be fair to him.
