I'm so glad that Maxis decided to move away from the bright annoying colors that they used to do. Like the hot pinks, lime greens, and stuff like that that you see on the base game dresses or female tops. It's so nice to see the more muted, wearable colors. I'm really impressed with the detail put into this pack.

To be fair, I think that's what was in fashion when Sims 4 came out. It's just now almost a decade old game so people have began liking more muted/pastel colors.

As someone with freckles literally everywhere, I’m SO glad we finally have body freckles in the sims! I really like the more uneven, faded texture on these, they just seem so much more natural than what we had before

I have a lot of freckles on my body, so I was very excited. I have freckles on my face too, but they're a lot less noticeable.

@@LX.727some of them are, but some of them are probably freckles/small enough dots that it doesn't really matter cause it's just a skin detail and open to the imagination

One really cool thing about the sims 4 is it being almost 10 years old, and being able to show how styles changed over those years!

I REALLY wish they’d add headbands or hair accessories in “headwear” so you can add headbands to any of the hairs

Yes! Even if all it did was let you change the color of the accessories that are part of the hair independently of the hair color, that would still be a huge improvement.

It's nice to see the CAS have a focus on everyday casualwear, nothing over the top, eccentric of stylistic, just stuff you'd see people wearing while on a walk in your local shopping area. This pack honestly looks so great but I'm having a hard time being willing to pay money for this, I genuinely feel like a big portion of the key features should've been added to the base game with time or from release

The leggings at 8:10 actually appear to be maternity shape wear/compression! Maybe not for working out but to be worn underneath dresses etc for realism since a lot of people need to wear compression shape wear while pregnant

@@katyishere Same! I've been watching a couple of legacy challenges and the children hardly ever get to really know their grandparents. The ones with several aunts and uncles got more time with grandma because she stopped aging while carrying each of her children, but the generations who are only children all lost their parents (to old age) before they became parents themselves even though one of them rushed it in hopes that wouldn't happen.

Something to note, the milestones for sitting up and crawling and stuff only come in the Growing Together pack. In just the update, babies can crawl and sit up already.

... Isn't the new lifestage kinda pointless then to people who won't buy Growing Together? I haven't played the game yet with the new update but what is there to teach the infants if they can already sit up and even crawl? Aren't they just like toddlers then? 🙈😅

@@friendlyneighbourhoodschokiman I don't think so. Sure there isn't the milestones element, but you still have the infants themselves to take care of. I'm okay with the milestones being in the ep. I do wish they would have maybe approached it differently, with how the sims did it, it sort of came across like we'd be able to teach infants from the get to, so I can understand the disappointment. But I also understand the sims team doesn't work for free, they have families and need to eat too. And I'd much rather pay for a pack one time than have a subscription I have to pay for monthly 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@friendlyneighbourhoodschokiman As someone who isn't buying the pack, I still appreciate the new lifestage. There's still a marked difference in care between infants and toddlers. No amount of skill building will let an infant traverse a staircase by themselves. Infants need help getting in and out of their beds (cribs), and they have to be fed directly by an older sim--they can't take a serving of food that's been left within reach the way toddlers can. Diaper changes are easier without the pack, but they still leave the dirty ones on the floor (or as dirty laundry, if you have Laundry Day and selected "Use Cloth Diapers"). Infants don't sleep instantly, and they need sleep more often than toddlers do.

I could normally take or leave CAS stuff, but this pack CAS is SO good, I’m honestly sold on the CAS alone 😩 I wish they would add a masculine single braid though. I was recently trying to make a family member in the sims and the only single braid hair styles are very feminine and definitely don’t suit my Indigenous masc family members 😂

I like how a lot of Create a Sim clothes in this pack look more suitable for maternity wear. Like when your sims are pregnant, their clothes don’t look as realistic for pregnant people.

I really hope some cc creators take that male framed top from 10:52 and turn it into tucked-in version, maybe even with longer arms and more cozy swatches for a chic-casual look 🙈 I have seen that a lot lately, especially in k-dramas and I really want something like this in my game 😂 I really like the cas in this one, especially the male-framed tops. I love that there are some that aren't cut as high as a lot of other male-framed stuff! 😍

Hopefully EA starts working soon. Because so many people are waiting for this to update and it’s down because everyone is attacking the app for this update. It will be so cool once more people can start logging in after the crash or what ever is making people to not be able to connect to the EA network that says the network is not able to network lol

One thing I wish sims 4 would do is to when with hair accessories to put a colour way on where you can choose you’re favourite colour for the accessory but not have to change the hair colour you have wish that was made as an update and you could not do just colours but patterns too just a thought I think a lot of people would appreciate that little feature added to the game

Yes please! I was trying to make Sims of a large family from a movie I like, and one of them has very curly dark brown hair pulled up in one bunch with a red headband. With the packs I have, there were two styles even remotely close to hers--one with a blue headband and one with a light yellow. I would have had to give her black hair to have a red headband.

When I saw this man shirt and then the same one with cardigan my brain just generate stroy that one sim like dad or brother hade one and now younger kid need to use it but it's a little used so that's a clever idea to hide it. And the second narrative based on true story that young sim found it in grandparents closets and ask to borrow it and now it's like trapped memory of them 😅

Hi! so i had a question bc i just bought the new growing together pack on xbox1 and i bought the pack through sims, it downloaded and installed but when i go on game nothing is there and when i hover over the pack it says i own it but it says “download to use” i can’t figure out how to download to use it, i’ve already went to manage sims and add-ons and it says the pack is already installed just like my other working packs but it is not in game, any help??? ❤️ and yes i’ve also turn on and off my console, closed out of sims, got back in and still nothing, this has been going on since yesterday!
