Great video as always Robin! Was a pleasure to watch and hear your thoughts behind some photos in the video, when you mentioned how the arm of that person leaning against the wall and the runner drew you into that photo. That's my city! Great to see you visited, the thing with Monterrey is that you won't really find anyone on the streets in the afternoon because of the high temperatures and harsh sun, also if it is weekday there are less people. I love doing street photo at night on weekends, streets get busy and alive🤌

Another interesting video, being new to film photography, so new I haven’t even had a film developed, I’m learning from you all the time, even just types of film is all new to me. Ok, so I have shot plenty of film in the past, but that was on cheap point and shoots taking photos on holidays, days out, that sort of thing but before I really got into photography, especially Street Photography which is a passion of mine that I really want to take as far as I can. I’d love to travel but funds are just not available, even going to London isn’t on the cards at the minute, unfortunately I’m unable to work due to a number of health issues, not making excuses I worked for as long as I could until my body told me I couldn’t. I’m using a Pentax KM and and Minolta 500si at the moment, I do have a Pentax 1000 and a Minolta 7000 too but I seem to have an issue with the 7000. I was honoured to be given Horne Pentax and a bunch of other gear from a friend of mine, he is actually one of my old Surgeons that retired and took up photography, gaining a couple of diplomas and degrees and the gear he gave me belonged to his late father.......now you see why I said I was honoured, especially with him now being a photographer himself.

I always find Superia has a slightly blue-green cast or it least it does from various UK C41 processors. I prefer the colour balance of Kodak Ultramax 400 pulled to 200 ISO for use on my various film Leicas. I am allergic (after years of being careless, not wearing gloves in the darkroom) to the Hydroquinone in the C41 process, so I cannot process my own colour films, although I can do my own B&W with HQ-free Rodinal.
@therealsirrobin3 жыл бұрын
I like both stocks. Ultramax is easier to get though, at least where I live.

Don't you think that this is highly subjective and a matter of personal preference?

@@therealsirrobin actually, no. In this session you could have had some absolute striking shots a’la Alex Webb, but you went the other way and have too much detail in shadows and absent blacks. Try it the other way next time:)
