Is this the BEST Curved Gaming 165 Hz 2K Monitor? Dell S2722DGM. 1 ms response rate.

After the odyssey g7. This is the secondbest VA panel monitor. Actually, very close to the odyssey g7's performance. It doesn't have 240Hz, only 165Hz, and the curve is much more friendly with 1500r instead of 1000r. Yet, after trying out both at the same time. I can say, they are very very similar in performance. I have 18days to decide which one to keep and couldn't make a decision yet. I could only recommend both of them since they are the only VA panel monitors which has 2ms grey to grey response times, the rest of the va panel monitors has 4ms-7ms.

The Dell's curve allows consistent viewing from a distance and up close, my guess is the Samsungs curve allows immersive viewing only up close.

@@TheTechNie That is correct. If I would want to watch a movie on it from like 2 meters away, it's be pretty weird. As opposed to the dell, if I watch a movie on it from my bed, it's all right. I honestly don't like the bigger curve with the Samsung. If it would be 1500r, I would definitely pick that. But as the choosing day comes closer and closer. My brain leans to the s2722dgm.

Would the s2722dgm be a good option for Xbox series x? Is the lack of hdr important? I'm coming from a plasma tv.

@@lucid_delirium976 Honestly, I would probably go with an OLED 120Hz TV. So you could use that as your primary TV and for XBOX too. If you would buy one, it would be a very very long time for you without thinking about buying another, more than a decade for sure. I would either suggest the LG OLED42C21LA or the LG OLED48C21LA. Same TVs. One of them is 42inch and much cheaper. The other is 48inch. Personally, 42inch is enough for me. But anyone who wants a bit bigger one. 48inch is good to go. It's 4k as well.

150$ as new? In my country (Eastern European), it's still 300$. It never did went below that. Such a shame. One of the best 27inch VA panel 1440p monitor. Enjoy your monitor!

@@Easy.Ice. couldn’t have asked for a better monitor tbh. Everything is nice and sharp, the colors are great as well as when I’m not gaming, and the fact that it’s curved is even better for long gaming hours. If your pc can handle 1440p high fps this is definitely a good pick up

Thank you very much for the detailed review video. I wanted to make sure I made the right decision before buying this monitor and it was helpful. I use a 75Hz Dell monitor for my workplace and it really looks and feels great. For this reason, I prefer Dell again.

Try doing a factory reset using the rear panel control. Press the top most menu button, Using this button as a joystick select the Others option, next move the joystick to the right and select factory reset.

@@TheTechNie Thanks! I fig it out LOL Instead of factory reset I went under game, game enhancement, where I turned it off. That took care of the refresh rate top left of screen. Thank you for your assistance! :)
