My wife and I stayed here when we visited Piz Gloria last year. Absolutely loved it! Can’t wait to go back!!! One item to add. You noted the tiny fitness room. If you ask the front desk, you can get a complimentary pass to the town’s sport center just a short walk south of the hotel. We mainly used it for the ice skating rink.

Hi David. Finally got to Piz Gloria in the summer. Murren was stunning. My partner wasn't that bothered about the trip at first, but did admit later that it was the highlight of the holiday. Definitely worth the effort.(and money!)

In the first 20 seconds because of your upgrade, I answered your title question, YES!!!! Now, I swear I'm not following you around, but i actually have a chance to possibly go to Switzerland next year, and go to Piz Gloria even! Its either there or Iceland, but I'm rooting for Switzerland. I agree wholeheartedly with your last statement, you go for Bond moments, then realize how small that moment is in comparison to the place, people and culture that surrounds you. Well expressed! Another super video, David, full of interesting views and stories. The furnishings are stunning so mid-twentieth century but not overdone. The bar reminds me a bit of the ski lodge in The Pink Panther. Dining room was some spread, anything you want.

Murren and Grindelwald Switzerland, Hallstatt Austria, Positano and Lake Como Italy. Beautiful, exotic locations that are indicative of James Bond's adventures. I think it would be neat if future installments would take place in Bond's past luxurious venues namely the Hotel Eiger and Tofana Cortina. The contemporary mix of the James Bond theme inspires the thought of just how long Albert "Cubby" Broccoli's legacy has endured and will continue for the rest of time. The fond memories that bring a smile to so many of us who found the franchise as a great means of escapism. The mountainous background at the end made me think of For Your Eyes Only when Bond met Luigi Ferrara in Cortina. Heaven on Earth.

The Nude Sauna: As a German, let me shed a light on this: We actually must wear towels to cover our sensible body parts. It is not allowed to sit naked on the benches, the towel belongs underneath you. And in case you ignore this, you are likely to become a human BBQ because the wooden benches are getting… hot. 😂😂😂. And we have special time slots for men and women. 😂

Schwimmbad is pronounced schwimm-bat. A 'D' at the end of a word or a syllable is pronounced more like an English T. Gerd is Gert. German Ws are also pronounced more like English Vs.

They blew it . They turned what could have been a good "Bond Experience" into a tacky one. Putting allt he Bond labelling cheapns that suit, n Omega watch....etc. to the point of makign hte item "unauthentic". What they should have done with the suite is simply leave the decor as it WAS . Ture to the time they used the suite for filming. Likewise with Bond 'associated productss" like the watch he wore...AOmega messed it up chapening the 300M putting Bond markings on the back of the watch and the box. As if it were a counterfeit. Do what Rolex did with the Submariner---NOTHING. Fans KNOW that was the model of Rolex worn by Connery. That's all a fan shuld need. I belive there was a "007 Edition " Aston Martin.....DO IT RIGHT !Die hard /wealthy fan would buy the actual DB5 from an aution....i see a point to that... winning the actual Submariner in a bid.... ...as much of a Bond fan as I am there are certain things I won't do....date a Bond Girl --YES1 :) Try to date or marry a Supermodel ---i think essential par tof "The Bond Experience"...what good is even having the DB5 and not a Carole Bouquet looking GF or wife in the other seat? :)
