Adam, your friend Simon Brette did build a beautiful piece, he's going to no doubt get alot of attention in the watch world. The dial is exceptional, the back is definitely symmetrical. The hands really stand out as well. Simon has a great eye and his attention to detail is very noticeable. If he is a up and coming watchmaker, then this piece shows he has arrived. Again, beautiful watch and wish his brand great success. Great episode Adam, with special thanks to your friend Sasha😊

Thanks Adam for introducing Simon Brett’s watches. 39-41MM is optimal for most men. I am hesitant to wear 36MM as being too small. Thought: is this how FP Journe started in business with a vision and a dream?

I presume yes. FPJ is truly a visionary!

I have a decent size wrist and I can wear a 41 to 44 mm watch without a problem, but I have a 36 mm Rolex Explorer and I love wearing that. It takes me a moment to get used to it after wearing a chunky watch, but it’s comfortable, looks fine and I tend to forget I have it on. BTW, fantastic watch. I love the way Simon designed the hands, I’m not sure I like the dial material. And actually they didn’t really discuss it so I don’t even know what it is.

Excellent watch! He is doing it right! Also really appreciate his acknowledgement of "suppliers"/other artists involved. Traditional Swissmaking relied on bringing best of the best in each area together without current focus on "in-house" circle jerk. There have been news that these shops focusing on dials, hands, casemaking etc. have been struggling lately. Also looking at some of the vintage auction results they are truly valued in some examples like Patek's Hagmann-made ("JHP") cases.

Absolutely when compared to other 6K watches. Not my style but definitely appreciate the skill, passion and hard work that has created a unique movement and design.

They are a bit more than 6k, and all sold out for many years to come sadly :(
