Is this the best rust remover? How to use ketchup to remove rust from old tools.

I heard ketchup is good at removing rust from old tools. I had to try it for myself. Here's the results!

It’s just the vinegar in the ketchup and wouldn’t recommend using as it tastes too good to clean with 😮

I believe it also has citric acid, maybe that teams up with the vinegar? It tastes good but doesn't smell nearly as bad as vinegar 😁

A good number of the old timers on the Papaw's Wrench we site swear a mixture of Molasses and water will take the rust off. Ketchup is a new one on me. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone besides me noticed that though it removed rust will the tool open and close like it would when new? I did not see him open the tools after the ketchup

Seriously it has about the same outcome as Evaporust, and now that evaporust is $30 a gallon, the ketchup seems like the cheaper option! 😅
