Hi Stu My husband and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. We are planning on heading to Playa del carmen for our first time.Very excited to be trying that part of Mexico we usually go to bucerias a d our favorite place is the Drunken Duck, just curious if you have been there and ca recommend a similar place? We like a little bit of tourists and locals not places like 5th ave, being that we only have 14 days looking for our local little gems.

I’ve actually never been over to the Pacific Coast of Mexico. The state of Quintana Roo is definitely very different from other parts of Mexico though (it’s only been a state for 50 years and Cancun as we know it now is even younger). 14 days os plenty to venture off 5th Ave and find some great spots. Make sure to try foods more local to this area like cochinita pibil, tikin-xic fish, and Mayan inspired foods!

Hey Stu. Thanks for the great videos. Looking forward to trying everything on 38 Street this November. Do you have any recommendations on where to catch the Patriots 1:00 game on a Sunday?

Absolutely! The only place you can guarantee it being on is Tequila Barrel on 5th near 12th st. It’s a sports bar with the NFL package so it has all the games on assigned TVs in the back. I spent basically every Sunday last fall there. Other places have TVs, but you won’t always know what games they are able to show (like Piola on 38th which I tended to watch the Sunday night games at). Go Pats!

It’s only 10 short blocks (so less than a 10 min walk). There are only even numbered streets, so 18th to 38th is only 10 blocks not 20
