I have Swiss coffee in most of my house. I think it has a green undertone. It is obvious when it is sunny and it is next to white cabinets

It's moreso yellow, but has the tendency to sometimes appear a tad green in certain lighting conditions.

@@thepaintpeopledoesn’t it have everything to do with say.. west facing windows, east facing windows? I found this to be the case when repainting my parents home before I sold it. One light color would look green in west facing rooms, while it looked off white in another. This all delayed my painting decisions for far too long.. at least a month ..(didn’t have paint store within 30 miles). I never want to go through that again! lol But I’ll need to soon as I need to repaint my house. So, do you have a lesson to teach this? Like.. warm paint for south facing rooms or cool for west facing rooms?

I loved this in the store and wanted to use it for my home. I bought a small sample can of it. It looked terrible in my space. I so wanted to work! In the end, we surprised ourselves with going with Chantilly Lace. It is absolutely perfect white for our home.

I happen to find the color Weathered White by Behr! It’s beautiful. My doors and baseboards are Pure White by SW and pairs beautifully.

I got a peel and stick sample for redoing my basement. In a big bright room I think it would be beautiful, but for an area with less light it just looked dingy to me.

Swiss coffee looks very dark in my house. We have a lot of trees and the windows are positioned in such a way that rooms are not brightly lit for long. I think the darker 'white' shades only look airy and bright in larger spaces with higher ceilings and lots of sun. I've also fount that paint in general will look different at different times of the day and in different parts of the room. I painted my kitchen once and had to redo it because it look lavender at night.

We are about to paint our main area of our home Swiss coffee! I love it! I’m driving myself crazy with a saggy green that ain’t too 90s against my mahogany bedroom furniture and goes with Swiss coffee. Top choice right now is vapour trails? Can that work together? Or vale mist??? I want my bedroom to feel like the calm seattle forestry outside my windows

I used Svelte sage in my spare bedroom. It’s a lovely color.. getting a test sample is highly recommended because its actual color is far different than what you see on Sherwin William’s website.

Vale mist is a more ‘natural fit’, but vapour trails could complement Swiss coffee in a beautiful way! I say go for it!

@ thank you so so much for this feedback. Is there any other lighter sage you love. I want it to feel like nature and not like everything is clashing with mahogany bedroom stuff from the late 90s! Silver sage was another thought, worries oct mist is too dark? Soft sage SW? My husband thinks they all look the same! lol

I painted my entire NYC apartment Swiss Coffee-- it looks great in my living room-- but I had to get rid of it everywhere else-- it was too blah in my dining room ( now blue) and it went Jaundice yellow in my dark hallway

PS WE also painted out the downstairs of our modern farmhouse ( which is a farmhouse) in Swiss coffee and it looks amazing because there is so much natural light-- so you definitely want to test it in your room to see how it looks before committing

Tried it out; definitely NOT a white. Wanted to like it. Really. Went with Simply White. Kitchen has Chantilly Lace, which is fine for a galley kitchen. Surgical suite vibes are fine in a functional not-eat-in kitchen. No regrets.

Hey, just commenting that your videos all of a sudden for me are playing in Indonesian. I keep trying to change the language to English, but the video won't allow the change. This is the second one of your videos that this has happened with. I don't have any problems with any other channels that I subscribe to. @thepaintpeople In that tour vid you gave is when I decided on cloud white, whitestone, gray owl... I painted in 2023 into 2024 and completed 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living/dining rooms and painted all bedroom doors in that black that was in the mudroom of that vid and they are gorgeous. It was nerve racking to paint doors 😆

@thepaintpeople Totally! Painting is also very therapeutic for me, anyway 😆 but, I always have a sense of accomplishment and it gives my family a sense of that their mother can make things happen.
