I remembered an episode of NEXT, where the first guy was wearing jorts (jean shorts) and everybody else on the bus was making fun of him. The girl nexted him immediately and the next 3 guys didn't last long either, so all the guys did most of the talking on the bus. They eventually all started to like the jorts and the fifth guy actually swapped pants with the jorts, and ran out on the date saying nothing but "JORTS!" through the obstacle course then got nexted. It taught me all I needed was some cool bros and a nice pair of jean shorts.

This show feels like it was written by The Onion. It feels so genuinely like a reality tv show, but the things these people say are just unbelievable. It has to be parody the way these people deliver such ludicrous lines with an unwavering boldness like there’s a bonus check for corniest delivery. It feels just like every Onion video I’ve ever seen. It’s so committed to the rules of its contemporary medium in every way except the outrageous dialogue. This show is wonderful, I can’t imagine how there could even be one bad episode of this dazzling spectacle. It’s such a unique train wreck because I very seriously doubt this is intentional satire and instead think it’s just really awkward terrible 90s writing, but it’s so beautifully hilarious that I can’t say it’s a bad show.

The one I remember is Baggage. You had like one dater try to pick one of three contestants, and each contestant had a small, medium, and large briefcase that contained some embarrassing or gross secret about them that got bigger and bigger. Like the small one might be "likes to pick his toes" but the final one might be like "wears a clown nose during intercourse" and then once the dater picks the contestant, they reveal one big piece of baggage about themselves and the contestant gets a chance to reject the dater. It was fairly interesting...and also hosted by Jerry Springer of all people.

Other reality shows featured gay men. I remember Onch from Paris Hilton's New BFF, and The Real World was a pioneer in regards to reality shows and it also was the first one to feature a homosexual male. If I recall correctly they even showed his wedding on the show. He was HIV-positive, sadly, and died young.
