Is This the Real EV Killer ? Synthetic Fuel | Grant Williams Racing

In our latest KZbin episode we return from the future where all vehicles are using synthetic fuels. In comparison, we've not invested in electrification, nor hydrogen, but we certainly like the synthetic fuel idea. Why? Because there is no need to reinvest a conventional engine that carried us for the past 60 years (Jaguar XK), just add synthetic fuel and you are driving 'green'. And yes, synhetic fuel might appear to be super expensive. But is it really? In comparison to removing the conventional engine and replacing it with an electric kit, we believe synthetic fuel is reasonably priced. It might be more difficult to get, but with careful planning it can be done.
With Goodwood recently announcing that all races will be run on syntethic fuel, we've have invited our very own Goodwood Revival hero, Grant Williams, to discuss why the need for synthetic fuel and what we are going to do about it.

I guess that there will be quite a few industries that will be willing to throw in their weight to make this more affordable. The automotive industry faces a huge loss of income purely because ev’s require just a fraction of the maintenance cost that an ICE requires. Aftermarket sales will take a huge knock. Various governments around the world will lose a significant source of tax income as well, since in countries such as sunny South Africa, private sector companies are putting up solar charging stations .
