Sur Ron bikes are bitchen, going on 2 yrs with mine, NO ISSUES AT ALL, although i did upgrade the front brakes to Magura with a 220 disk! You are gonna love them....

Very cool. Nothing like bringing a bike with you to get a closer look at your surroundings. I do exactly that with my 2016 Tacoma and a 2018 Yamaha dirtbike that Colorado has allowed me to make street legal. The world opens up and is just that much more fun to explore with a setup like that. Your new setup is very similar, just different equipment. Oh man, you're going to have a great time.

Gotta check out the Quik Rack Mach2. It’s an improved version of the 1up made by the same guy that invented the 1up. The Quik Rack Mach2 can carry more weight. Up to 120lbs instead of 75lbs

good job on the PSA for sure. So many un-educated folks who ride and dont ride that have ZERO idea between the difference of a Class 1 (your ebike) vs a Sur-Ron (which btw, doesnt fall into ANY of the current 3 class ebike classification system). Would love to see what options are out there that can keep all those electric vehicles going when in a remote location. Generators, Battery back up systems, etc. Options that could actually charge them all up.

If you want a similar yet more versatile option, I would look into an Enduro ebike. It's got pedals so you can ride it in places the Sur Ron can't (with caveats since ebikes are still in a legal gray area). Modding options for it are endless. You can do hub motor or mid engine configuration. As far as your mechanical skills allow, the options are endless. I think it looks more like a cyberbike vs the skeleton look of the Sur Ron but aesthetics are in the eye of the beholder.

Adding to this post, the power pedal kit by kaniwaba turns the SurRon into the ultimate class 3 ebike (if you ride it respectfully and according to your own states dmv laws of course)

How is the power in your Fezzarri? I have a Luna Cycles X2 Ludicrous V2, but honestly, it can only put out 1250watts for any extended period of time and ya gotta ride smart with the peddle assist, & throttle on my X2 list limited to 28mph, so I can't use the Throttle as I'd hoped. But it's fun. I am looking for something more powerful but in the same weight range of 54lbs. Something for XC, Trail, & DH.

K02s have a bad rep in the winter but I found they are WAY better than teh stock TerraGrapplers that came on my 4Runner and even better than the Tokyo Open counties…just my own experience in W Colorado winters

It wasn’t over the weight limit - this is the Super Duty (rated at 75lbs per tray). But yeah seems to do just fine. I haven’t taken an e-bike on any real offroad trails or anything though - I might add a little extra support straps to keep it from swaying if I did.
