The Daddy long-legs spider is thought by some to be the world's most deadliest spider - So I thought I'd look at one under the microscope!
Lets talk about why the Daddy long-leg spider is not actually the worlds most deadly spider...

Hey all! Thanks for the comments - in other parts of the world, especially in Australia, these are colloquially referred to as a “daddy long legs spider” - which is the term I use in this video. Both the Australian Museum and Wikipedia confirm this.

Yes! I was looking for this comment. This is not a harvestman/daddy long legs. It is a cellar spider. Copy from Keller Pestcontrol - "The big difference between a longlegs harvestmen and a longlegs spider (cellar spider) is that the harvestmen has one part to its body. A spider has two parts: the head and the cephalothorax. Another noteworthy difference is that longlegs spiders produce silk to make webs. Longlegs harvestmen do not."

@@imhereforit2475 well there seems to be confusion, what we call daddy long legs aren't the same as harvestman(not spiders). And both, according to [google, my own experience and youtubers specialists in those animals] don't want and can't bite through human skin. They have a really small body and even smaller fans that are shorter than the thickness of the skin. Not only they will only try to bite only if you hold them onto your skin, but they won't be able to. However I'm sure it is possible that you had a anormaly giant mutated daddy long legs that was big enough to bite you, but that probably has like 0.01% chance to happen to somebody. So yeah, we shouldnt say to people that those spiders bite. They are probably the best kind of spider to have in a house because of how they will never mess with ppl and are super not intimidating. Edit : Correcting myself, some dude on youtube did the experience and got bit by pushing the daddy long legs on his skin, however, since there was no skin reaction or anything, it might actually prove that the fangs are too small to pass venom through the skin. And it was a big individual (the spider) so, yeah 0 risk to get bitten at home.
