I just got them and I personnally love them they turn really well and go very fast(Atleast compared to my old fins)

This is an encouraging perspective. I have been waiting for a solid swell to test my H4 in my step up for a few months. Coincidentally, I've been riding my Hypto with twin plus 1 setups in small to good waves and it works great. Haven't even considered trying this combination. I'll give it a try if that solid swell doesn't come quickly. Thanks for the review

Really appreciate the fin review! I've been surprised about what a big difference fins make. Have your tried the NVS C-Drive fins? They are supposed to have good drive with larger base but also good turning with smaller tip shape.
@TheSurfboardGuide4 жыл бұрын
Hey! No I haven’t, but the guys that created c-drive fins actually like locally to me and have been making them for years before the guys at NVS gave them a run! I might reach out to them and try get a set!

Hi Craig, firstly thanks for saving me a packet over the years, I love hearing your thoughts on the variety of surfboards you review. i I have recently been considering a hypto for an upcoming surf trip... our skill levels look very similar and was wondering how you would size it also have you tested the difference between PE-PU & FF. I usually ride between 30 and 32L, but recently haven't been able to get off my Twinsman @ 32L. look forward to you reply.
@TheSurfboardGuide Жыл бұрын
Hey! The Hypto is great, so versatile! I’d try aim for 32L and go custom - unless you’re tall, try make it shorter/wider. Also, check out our full Hypto review if you haven’t already ✌️

Hey craig thanks for the revue mate another good one. Just a small piece of constructive criticism if i may mate? With these premium products youre reviewing. It would be cool if youd address the premium price and if you think its worth the average joe spending hus hard earned on it when compared to the cheaper alternatives we are already using dude?? Just a thought.

Hey mate! Thanks for the feedback, and love. a conversation on the these things. For these specifically though, what is the cheaper alternative to the H4?

Hi Mate, How would you compare this fin to the KA fin. More acceleration? Drive? More suited for better waves ? Thanks!
@TheSurfboardGuide3 жыл бұрын
Hey! More get up and go speed, it doesn't take as much to get going. Drive, hold and release all are very similar to your regular template (KA, AM etc), just that initial get up and go is much more impressive!
@nicktobs4 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I didn't like the H4s in my Hypto, they felt weird through turns and the HS fins were a lot more predictable. The H4s worked a lot better in my performance board in bigger / better waves. Thanks for the review though, love ya work 🤙
@TheSurfboardGuide4 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard from a few people now that the H4 is actually a great fin for step-ups and in bigger surf... But could definitely see it working on performance shortboards!

@TheSurfboardGuide4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I haven’t ridden a Rocket, but I think they’d be fine on most boards, and if you’re familiar with the board, the H4’s will give the board an extra gear! ✌️

Great video. Is the hypto still made in a Thailand factory? And warp in hot conditions. Only ask as this the perception out there and the main reason I've never bothered with a Hayden product. Cheers.
@TheSurfboardGuide4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate! This one is, but they aren't all made there. If you check out our actual Hypto Krypto review from about 18 months ago, i 've now had one made by Hayden here in Aus, and now this one made offshore. Quality isn't too much different, and faced with a decision, i'd have no hesitation buying one made offshore. Warping in hot conditions - all boards will do this!
@ocean4lifem84 жыл бұрын
@@TheSurfboardGuide thanks for the reply. Paying over a grand for a Thai pop out is fundamentally the basis for the continuation of exploitation world wide. This is not limited to surfboards but commerce in general. There is absolutely no reason to use third world countries as slaves to satisfy someone's bank account. We need to move on from just accepting this as the norm. In regards to surfboards there are amazing local shapers everywhere. And fin producers. These are local community members that employ locals. Act locally, think globally. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to produce your channel mate 🤙

Just saw one cracked down the middle at my local shop. Board repair guy is seeing more of it. It’s GSI glassing in China. Mass production. Go back to boards with stringers and local glassing or epoxy done here in USA.
@ocean4lifem84 жыл бұрын
@@ross2142 another classic besides these mass produced garbage is when they start talking about fin flex in a fin thats 5 1/2 inches long ffs... you cant move them by hand let alone pushing it against a soft medium like water.
