Whatever engine you put in it please keep under the stock flat hood. The lines on those cars aren't suited for holes cut in the hood for big superchargers or turbos sticking out IMO. Correct sentiment, wrong reasons -- a giant blower sticking out of the hood would ruin the aerodynamics, wing cars came factory-butchered. Those vents on the front fenders? They're there because NASCAR at the time still had to be stock bodies. Pretty sure the homologation cars sold to the public had solid metal under those, but on the racecars they covered massive holes cut in the fender to keep the tires from rubbing at 200+ mph, so they had to put them on the non-race versions too, so it looked like the real car..

The dual plug Hemi has a lot of interesting history, I rediscovered some of it in the book about the development of the Motown Missile, which was a sorta back-door factory race development car. The original dual head distributors were made by grafting a second distributor head onto the mechanical tach drive of a tach drive distributor, so the caps sat at right angles instead of side by side like later ones. As I recall, dual plugs didn’t result in a huge power gain (on gasoline, anyway) so it didn’t take the world by storm, but it would eventually become the standard Fuel engine configuration. Super cool plan!

Some of my earliest memories are standing on the hump between the bucket seats holding on to the seats as Mom is banging gears, racing from stop light to stop light on Woodward in my Dad's brand new fresh out of the factory 1962 Tempest, 4 cylinder 4 barrel 4 speed. Mom would drop Dad off at the A&P where he was a butcher, then go out to do a little light to light street racing. My mother was a dirty hot rodder. She used to race her 57 Pontiac out at the old Pontiac airport when they used to have races there in the late 50s. Even had a couple of trophies. And it was always fun on a Monday morning going back to school after the weekend and having somebody come up and ask what does your mother have under the hood of that Oldsmobile station wagon?because she blew my doors off. My reply was always refer to the Chilton's auto repair manual 1964 to 1971. The green one. Find page 707,on the bottom right of the page,F/85 engine identification.Year 1965 production code W. With a four barrel and a 4-speed. I had to explain it to him like this because if I told them what the book said. That's an hour long argument.

Always preferred the Superbird over the Daytona. Plymouth did a much better job of the more radical alterations {like the rear roof and backlight}, and didn't have to resort to heavy-handed cosmetic butchery just to get the damn things out the door and into the showroom like the Dodge Boys did. I nearly fainted when a buddy showed me what his Daytona's roof actually looked like underneath the vinyl top. Let's just say that what I saw would make the Death Metal Charger's construction look like a Chip Foose creation, in comparison!! As for Daytona knock-offs in general, the best one I ever saw was a '72 Dart Swinger that had a nose cone made from two 2nd-gen Trans Am rear spoilers spliced together back-to-back, and a rear wing consisting of plywood struts, capped with a 1x6 crossmember. That crossmember was fully adjustable too, thanks to the highly modified fence gate hinges on both struts.....

Hey guys I’ve found that air duster turned upside down will shrink the hole of a wheel if applied evenly. It’s counterintuitive but I was in band and couldn’t understand why my cold trumpet was always flat but a hot trumpet is sharp. The metal expands and contracts evenly including thickness. Meaning that when it’s super cold the diameter of a hole is wider than when it’s hot. An air duster allows you to put a straw and cool exactly what you need to cool. If you put a torch on it the atmosphere actually serves to heat everything because there’s such a large energy transfer. With heat you will find a point where if you have two different types of metal expanding there will be a delta and your fused parts will release. They work the same way but heat is less controllable. I just saw using cold to get your wheel off quickly.
