@@masonj4779 Apparently you have never bought any collectible exclusive of a certain movie, these are usually cheap plastic collectibles to put popcorn, instead of buying the traditional cardboard boxes, for example in avengers the collectible was the infinity gauntlet, and this ship the collector, its plastic is so hollow that it also looks like a Popcorn Bucket or deposit "Collectible" of those you buy at the movies. 🤣

Yes! The Collector, at last! I love the Cartoon Collection. I always wanted the toys to look more like the Filmation cartoon as a kid.

This model is not part of the "Cartoon Collection". The design looks cheap, lazy and with a dull paint job. I canceled my preorder after seeing this video review. I will wait for a better version.

On another video, I called this a glorified figure case. I guess it's cool if you just want the vehicle on your shelf but it's not much appealing about it beyond that. I know everyone doesn't 3D print. The stand compatibility is an afterthought, it needed it's own stand.

That vehicle looks way too cheap. The paint job doesn't help it too. Looks like a $15 piece and that's probably too much. Not a good effort from Mattel. I wish they would let Mcfarlane make some of their vehicles instead. I preorder this item and after seeing this video review I decided to cancel my order. The claws don't even open and close 😕

This is pretty cool. The matte finish would probably look better. Knowing me I'd be trying to tape it off and paint it. Lol But overall I like it. I noticed a preorder set on Walmart where Skeletor comes with the collector for 50 bucks or so if not mistaken. Could be wrong, can't really remember, but that sounds pretty close to the price. "The Collector" makes for an awesome display for sure. Congrats on the early get.

Good review, what I still don't understand is how it can cost $40, made with the cheapest plastic ever created, a plastic that is shiny, it makes it look even cheaper, the only way I would buy it is if it is on discount.

Good podcast Ken it's my first peek😮. Yeah man I watched a couple videos of the collector. I was excited that we were finally getting it . After watching a couple videos of the collector there were some flaws in it. The figures were hard sit down or placed in the seats there figures didn't sit in right. Maybe a stand would have been good too. It seems you have to lay the figures down in the seat. I never had the talon fighter as a kid but l got 2 of them. I was kinda disappointed a little because it didn't come with the tape or voice recording like the vintage. The base that a figure could be placed in was too short. The windraider is probably the best origins vehicle made to date in my opinion. I ordered 2 of these but l am cancel one. I think mattel missed the mark on this anticipated vehicle wow. Yeah the control panel could've been better. Overall good video sir.

Totally agree! It just seems like they rushed it to get it out. I wouldn’t even have minded paying an extra $10-$20 for something that was made better. It’s just sad that they failed on a vehicle that could have been so much more. Considering all of us really wanted that vehicle.

This is, without a doubt, the most disappointing item in the MOTU Origins line. After 40 years of waiting for a "Collector" this is what Mattel brings out?!? It absolutely should have been a Mattel Creations item....Garbage!
