Seems to be a few word mistakes , I said +2 soul and I meant to say + soul when talking about the level 0 Milim , then when I talked about the Mirror match with AOT I meant whoever dropped their Eren or a reversible target first lost not win as it meant their opponent gets their reverse first , in the future we will try to have more topics such as this.

If the argument for Slime ban is level 0 stock swap, then maybe Kaguya should stay banned, since it can pretty comfortably produce walls to contest slime and present stock swap. Likewise stock swap and Fumio are also found in bang dream, and we see pretty much 0 rep from it, despite having pretty extensive tools, and explosive finishers. Is this due to lack of investment from strong players?

the enablers are the key , because Kaguya doesn't have the tools to actually generate resources making the cost 3 stock early on very hard , bang dream lacks the modern tools or combos to produce s good result , bang dream also has issues competing with modern decks, the way I see it is if you take out those tools , can the deck play reasonably in 2024, the answer is no, dont forget mob pyscho also has level 0 stock swap, but it dents matter as it can't use it efficiently pre level 3 and has a whole set of other issues

You would need to be able to be competent enough and the stock swap fumio is the extra , modern decks gain resources too efficiently compared to older decks so they take advantage of such mechanics with little effort

​@@WeissAncestor Is that overly true though? Kaguya can absolutely stock charge their way into an early stock swap, arguably better than slime can. Pretty much most decks could (if they had one) since they don't need to pay 3 for mjuran the next turn. (Since the first mjuran turn just replaces the stock spent). Sure, if the Mjurans sit uncontested, then it can quickly become out of control, but it's not like Slime is doing anything special pre-2 to enable the early swap, and even at 2, it's not really pushing more than 2/2/2 into this deckstate until they've already won on defence (Unlikely pre Mjuran). Likewise, i'd argue Kaguya and Bang Dream can absolutely present decent games with acceptable finishers (even after stock swap and/or fumio). Don't get me wrong, i think SDS and Slime are broken, but i think that's down to their resource generation (Liz brainstorm and Mjuran being so fat) over the fact they can access a 0 stock swap or stock swap and fumio. The flip side to this argument however, is that TSK is still winning events in japan, even with the hexproof ban.

@@steveEatsDamage but even if they can stock swap early, how does the turn after look, its not hard to get 3 stock, but can you stock swap, and then still play the game just fine if it does nothing ?, if your answer is yes, then my statement would be wrong and I underestimated Kaguya, i just dont think so cuz back in the day , they could not do it, and now the game is much faster and the decks they have to fight are much better, so doing it now is not going to work if it did not work back in the day

" I agree with it as i call these the enablers , my point was because of the generation of resources is faster than when newer sets do it compared to older sets doing it, its why Konosuba who has the best versions of them still can't do much because in 2024 to play weiss you have to be okay with just eating 7+ damage and still be able to play the game, if you can't then your deck is not up to par, and that is where i put Bang dream and Kaguya, now for bang dream because of its utility is very good when the meta is uniform, with its tools it can' probably build an anti meta deck, but when it just fights a bunch of random strong decks in swiss, it will fail to win imo. Now if 7ds, slime and OVL were to go away , then probably bang dream has a small chance to take advantage but The issue is that it can' t perform a strong enough finisher and sculpt stock swap fumio every game , while 7ds can

It's bad when I long for the SAO metas. Every set lately just does fun things w/o stock swap and that's a key issue.

Eng has always been dominated by the same series year after year though. In the ancient times it was SAO then AOT and SAO. Now its been how many years of slime. I think at this point it just expected to be the case unless bushi is willing to ban entire metas even if that means nuking a set.
