❤thx❤ got the T818 last year and I am very happy with it. I use it with different wheels.

I got the T818 because I was erm "already invested in the ecosystem". Yeah it costs a bit more than it should but I love it, feels great, it's so quiet but the FFB is felt by everyone in the house (well at least everyone on the ground floor), lol. I use 3 different wheels with it

i went with the logi pro but as a relative noob i have a lot pf love for tm with their affordable kit, am rocking the t-lcm pedals and th8s shifter.. got both while still on a g923 and am very happy with their performance, might have been tempted by their dd base if there were any on the 2nd hand market.. instead i got the pro unused still sealed in box for just over half its price new

I've had a T818 for about 8 months now, I play mostly iRacing and I've really enjoyed mine. I had to return it for a problem with the quick release but it was sent back to France from the UK, repaired and returned to me within 10 days which kind of blew my mind. I'm looking for a new rim for Rally so I might give this a look.

Mines broke after 2 days (it still worked but started making horrendous noises). I sent Thrustmaster a video, they immediately sent me return instructions and I sent it off to France, they had it back to me within 10 days repaired (the motor was faulty and replaced). Not bad considering French customs seized it, lol. It has a 2 year warranty from TM so although not ideal it broke they fixed it quickly with no arguments or cost. I still had my TX at the time

I love my thrustmaster stuff and have built up a nice collection of rims over the years. I like the T818 and have fitted my old wheels with adapters. I was hoping for a new round rim with better paddles so this one seems like a sure buy for me. Only thing is that I'm not so sure about the whole detachable hub idea. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a quick release. I get that it will allow them to release cheaper rims. But I don't see myself unscrewing the hub every time.

What i absolutely like about T818 is lack of tweaking options - I'm the guy that likes to mess with settings until i get everything right. The more options i have the more time i waste on setup. With T818 i get 4 modes and 2 sliders (except gain which is always 100%). The best overall setting for me is performance mode 100% gain and 10% damper. I tweak gain later in the sim. Must say I have quite oppoosite feelings with ACC and AC, originally coming from TS-PC now I feel more of everything and a lot of new details, tire grip most importantly. Watched few reviews of T818 and FFB detail is mentioned a lot. I get a lot of force without clipping in ACC nordschleife every terrain change etc. On carousell my arms are shaking partly because of my rig, but still the force and detail are there. Also i experience some oscillations (that is why 10%damper is set). Tried Moza R9, it is good base but a lot of setting up in menus to make it feel right, also the vibrations are too harsh, like driving on metal tires. What I hate about T818 is it's quick release - not because of flex as it is almost non existent, but little creaking plastic bits working together as there is some micro left-right movement between them. Also power connector feels cheap and completly outdated. My lap on nords kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpync3-madWnsKc

I'm already in the Thrustmaster eco system and I just ordered a Open box t818 Ferrari bundle at a crazy discounted price but my problem is that the quick release adapters are still not available in Canada. I may just have to buy this one and sell my sparco rally wheel which I really don't want to do...Thrustmaster if you are watching please send some adapter to our country.

That flex at 5:15 is terrible. I have the same T818 and same 488 GT3 and absolutely no flex at all. Zero. Not even when using a bit of force trying to move it. I've seen other people complain about flex but it's the first time I see it being this bad. It seems more like a production issue with some units to me.. if you have flex like this I'd definately contact their support.

That's interesting! I just saw OC Racings Review and it looked very similar in his recording 😳 -Michel

@@OverTake_ggOC was using a beta-version of the quickrelease adapter which he didn't say in the video, but later did in the comments. TM sent him that so he could make an early review video - which was a mistake ;) So I assumed that was the reason, I did read from others that the betaversion had some flex and that was fixed with the final version which was sold with the first batch of T818's. Sim Racing Garage also had flex but he didn't put the screw in so I assumed that caused the flex for him. In the comments below those videos you see lots of people also saying they have no flex at all. But the amount of flex you have is really absurd.. I just did a test again with the GT3 on my T818 and while using as much force as I dare - not a single mm of flex. Since you have the same flex with multiple wheels I assume there is something wrong with the quickrelease of your T818. Definately show that flex to TM support to get that fixed :)

@@OverTake_ggYou can check the TraxionGG T818 review or the Simpit EVO review which he uploaded a couple of hours ago - in both you see that there is no flex.

@jochenkraus70169 ай бұрын
@BiscuitsYT Afaik the Fanatec hub has bolt circles of 50mm and 70mm so usual wheels should fit. The Thrustmaster wheels I have 58mm and many wheels have the four way pad left from the middle that would be often covered by a spoke.
