You could get your own lipstick mould and melt down the lipstick to the perfect shape. I know bite makes custom shades at their shop, you could probably get the lipstick without the tube there.

I love the concept of refillable makeup as a sustainability effort, and I love all your vintage compacts! I wish there were more refillable lipstick in the US. Fenty Beauty has $20 refillable lipsticks, but you HAVE to use their packaging, which is kinda disappointing

like the other comments have suggested: buy your own lipstick mold! it’s a fun process for me to melt and pour lipsticks. i would also recommend using something that has shorter sides/walls to melt your lipsticks in, as compared to a little beaker or something. lipstick tends to cool and harden pretty quickly. so the taller the sides of the container, the longer the lipstick has to travel when it gets poured out, leading it to get cooled on the way out, which means more product that gets left behind!

After you’ve melted it and stuck it in. Place in freezer for 10 minutes. Should do the trick.

It’s a shame there aren’t more companies that offer refills like this for lipstick. I wonder if you can buy a silicone mold or something for lipstick. I feel like I’ve seen a youtuber that is constantly melting down different lipsticks together to make unique shades and pouring them in molds before tubing them herself. It’s something like safiya nygaard, I’m probably butchering the spelling, but I like her videos. Maybe she can help you. I can’t. I just love your style and vintage makeup. ☺️🫶

They have lipstick molds, what I suggest is getting one and melting your favorite lipstick then using the mold to get it into the case. One that’s cheap and I recommend for starting is the TKB lipstick mold, is $20 and they give detailed instructions on how to use it Edit to add: TKB trading also sells a lipstick base and pigments you can add to it to make your custom lipstick, they’re a really great company and reputable. Only thing is if you go this route make sure to check their guides to see if the pigment is mouth safe as some are only face safe or soap safe

You could try cutting off a small portion off the bottom and melting it. You can use this to coat the sides of the lipstick so that cools in the tube with a thicker base.

Put the lipstick you want to transfer into the freezer for a bit then heat the base to get it out it will be by making the product more solid you are more likely to get it out in one piece.

I did this a couple of days ago using a lipstick refill from Fenty Beauty. I chilled my hands in cold water before handling the lipstick, but with gentle and steady force it slipped right out of its original base. I had the opposite problem as you though, and had to shave and smooth the sides of the modern lipstick bullet to fit my antique lipstick tube. But the fit is snug for sure!

Try melting a few drops into the bottom of the tube, then melt it more and press it down firmly and then put it in fridge to cool completely.

I've had great success sticking the lipstick in the freezer for like 20 minutes or so. Grab it with a paper towel and it pops right out and easily into the tube you want it in! Great for reusing expensive packaging from designer brands with drugstore faves!

You should use Safiya Nygard’s technique. I believe she inserts a butter knife halfway through the tube at an angle and then kinda wiggles it out.

It would be cool to make your OWN lipsticks! I saw a lot of those videos that look like they came from tiktok, but they were making lipstick the ancient China way, like with beeswax and crushed flowers and stuff. But they still looked pretty

Get a lipstick mold maker. They sell them on Amazon. I repair and collect vintage makeup so I have a bunch of cool repair items and kits. U will prolly also need a wax melter set but it's super cheap unless it comes with the lipstick mold maker. U can look it up on KZbin to see how it works. Theres this person who repairs makeup in videos and has the coolest items.

you could always go the extra mile melt it down on a little bowl with hot water in a seperate bowl under it then pour it into the lipstick container orrr when removing the lipstick to put on another stick get a thin metal stick to gently cut from the bottom do the ting where you melted the bottom and stick it on

If this is something you plan to do several times, you could just get a single lipstick mold that fits better. Then melt the lipstick refill, or even chop off the lipstick out of a tube then scrape the bottom.

Put the lipstick in the FREEZER. After a few hours take out and turn the lipstick all the way up. Carefully wiggle-pull the color stick out. Do the same with the color you want to replace with. Just carefully slide the color stick in all the way. Done.

I've seen a lady on KZbin who does makeup restoration, and she melted the colour she wants and decants into a silicon mold. Then uses the mold to insert into the lipstick holder. Seems to work well. But I've not tried it myself.

i usually just get a drug store lip stick that works for me and see if it fits, if it does i just put it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, wobble to remove, and them shove it in (sometimes melt the bottom for an easier fit) the only thing thats hard about this though is finding one that fits since of course all of them dont fit.

Twist it out all the way and cut it. Then run a knife under hot water so it’ll melt and scrape the lipstick at the base to use as glue for the next tube

You could make your own, otherwise if you have a lipstick you like, you would essentially cut it out. It leaves a tiny bit in the bottom, but you can just use it up by applying it with a makeup brush.

I had a friend who did this whom also had a younger sister who wore braces. So my friend would take some of her sister’s wax for her braces and use that to fatten the bottom of the lipstick. Seemed to work for her.

So what I do is I just cut the new lipstick off it's stick cuz it's easier then I chop a bit of the bottom off and melt it in the microwave, pour that in the bottom of the nice lipstick tube then let it sit a sec, don't shake it, then put the rest of the lipstick in it and it'll stay
