Hi doc, may I know what's the difference between type 1 for immigration/licensure and ECR? My main goal is to take the NPTE as soon as possible, and currently I'm on type 1 for immigration review but I'm not sure if this review is appropriate for my situation. I mean, if I should take ECR first for the NPTE or just wait for my type 1 for immigration. Thinking of applying for New Mexico jurisdiction

Hi maam can u make a video about the details regarding requirements for state licensing as a PT in the US? The NYSED site says now that the applying PT needs a doctorate degree effective this oct 25,2024. Is this true? Cuz as far as i know, as a PH PT who wants to practice on the US, we do not need doctorate degree. We just need to pass the US licensing state board right? Can you pls help us :(

This is a new development. I researched on it. It was a proposal bill that was turned into law and when you go to the website of NYSED, it is indeed NOW a requirement to be DPT before you can apply to NY. Here is the reference under "Education Requirements" www.op.nysed.gov/professions/physical-therapists/license-requirements

@@JustUpright so its sad news to aspiring PTs who wants to practice to NY? as it would be more expensive and complicated process rather than the previous one? :(

Hi doc, I am a greencard holder in California, USA. I graduated BSPT in the Philippines. Do I need to take TOEFL in order to take NPTE? Thankyou!
