Hello Doc and good day! I am planning to take the NPTE exam next year however I have seen your video in KZbin about the new rule in New York, where a doctorate degree is now required. My other option aside from looking for another state is applying as a PTA. May I ask what are the necessary steps and requirements needed for PTA? I haven't done the registration for the FCCPT yet. Congratulations. NYSED should send you your license. If you paid NYSED when you applied, you do not have to pay them for your license.

Hello I applied for NY and I just received the FCCPT email that my review was sent to NYSED. Since NY now requires tDPT like the others, can I transfer my application to Kansas? Is it a new application?

Yes you can, but you have to apply to FCCPT for State of Kansas and pay the fee. FCCPT will use the documents you submitted and may ask for more documents depending on Kansas' requirements.

There is no discount for different state. You'll apply for either ECR or type 1 review for immigration.

Hello doc jing! NYSED reviewed my application last June 2024 and sent me an email regarding lacking of Cultural compentency. I took it and just finished it this month.Im just waiting for PRI to send my transcript to NYSED under the name of my evaluator. Is the my application will be affected this policy? It is best to email NYSED to get definite answer. It is tricky because you started your application before October 25 2024 but has not completed it yet as of now.

Yes there is separate fee for PT and PTA. No employer petition PTAs only PTs.

In my case I have applied for PT for newyork credential verification on this November 2nd , I was unaware about tdpt is included as new criteria, I have MPT from India, so I am having a plan to do PTA , if I request fccpt will they change into PTA,without loosing money or is there to pay seperately 515 dollars again for applying , or if I continue with PT application, later if verification its not sucess at the time if I want to do PTA what I have to do

Hi Doc! I would just like to ask if I will be affected with the new plan or protocol for NY. My FCCPT records/documents where completed/sent to NYSED 10/28/2024 and I paid full for the NYSED last 11/04/2024. Will I be affected? Good am doc, I’m a filipina who came here just recently as an immigrant. Im now here in Orlando Florida. I already did my credentialing through fccpt last october 12 so I could take NPTE po. I havent taken licensure exam in thw Phil ever but now that im in the US I’m planning po sana to take the exam. The review center I enrolled to told me to do it in NYSED bec its easy than other states but now you said po they have new rule. Panu po un doc? 🥺 Pero andto po ako sa orlando florida pwede ko po ba dto magtake ng exam? Or ung new rule na kumuha ng DPT is same din dito sa florida? I haven't reviewed the FL requirements if they have new rule. Illinois is easier to apply now compared to NY.
