I think you are right. Most of those watches will be discontiniued. The 1926 I think will be be upgraded for the 100 years of Tudor in 2026....maybe more colours on the dials, new movements and Tfits.

I can't wait that long, I'm looking to by one this year lol. Probably worth waiting getting in house stuff with maybe different options, but then again I'm American and patience isn't in our vocabulary.

@@Michael-uf1hz Try the black bay 58 or 54, solid dive watch. black bay also do a very nice dress watch. Tudor will release 2 watches this year so keep your eyes open.

The 36mm MT5602 @4:54 seconds states Master Chronometer, will this perform closer to METAS and not COSC? Update. The picture you’ve shown is the MT5602-U, which is METAS certified, and not found in 36mm Certified Chronometer watches.

Was thinking to go for a older black bay 41 (smiley dail) because of the price difference. Now I will be definitely go for the new model with the MT movement. Thanks!

Tudor ETA’s were not chronometer grade ETA’s, they were Top grade.

It’s the top grade without the certification.

I have a few Tudors with the Sellita SW200 movements (40 hour power reserve). Out of the box they were not particularly accurate. I am not a watchmaker but I like to tinker with my watches. I was able to regulate at least 3 Sellita movements to within 0 to +2 seconds a day. They are very accurate now, all of them. The only things I don't like about the SW200 is the 'crunchy' winding feel and the short 40 hr power reserve. I have a BB54 with the new 70 hour power reserve movement that is not accurate at all, at least 5-6 seconds fast per day.

Was ir difficult for you to regulate the sellitas? Couldnt you regulate the bb54 as well?

I'm not sure. Haven't taken toe caseback off. If it was slow I might try, don't mind it a little fast...

Tudor could be something great but they seem to be a one trick pony. They come out with watches that are size monsters, new releases with different colors and boring designs. Not living up to their tag line. Lol

I just think that Tudor got famous only trough marketing in US.I can bet that most of real collectors would name at least 10 other watchmakers that are around for almost 100 years that aren't popular in US at all and still would be better ones than Tudor for way less money. Im not the Tudor hater but sense I can't even afford one, Im one Ha, Ha.

Until they come with a new design language and use more daring ideas which Rolex were never willing to explore they will be always considered boring and 2nd tier brother.

Pretty sure BB kinda ended all that. They clearly have made a massive impact on the industry and market, and I'm sure they aren't done bringing some classics back at the sizing people want. Rolex is the one stuck in their ways, priced too high for your average consumer just because of branding. Who will suffer first the innovator or the dinosaur.

Yawn. I just cannot raise any interest in Tudor. They just say the wearer cannot afford a Rolex.

and a rolex wearer couldn't afford one of the big 3 and had to settled on a watch that was completely outsourced in its production because they couldn't manufacture their own watches themselves !

That may be true. Although the so-called 'big three' make very different watches. Tudor tends to make Rolex lookalikes. I suppose some people would choose a particular Tudor because it appeals in some way, but the general perception is that it is a poor man's Rolex. I'm not saying they're bad watches. Indeed, they're good watches, but they ain't Rolex. @@theshadow1812
