In regards to the map. I eventually realized that my starter base was not in an ideal place for the content and materials I needed so I decided to move my base. In the process of finding a good plot I noticed that nearly every plot of land has something worthwhile. Sometimes it's just big, or it's closer to the cities, but then there's a bunch that are small or tucked away that make you look at them and go "why would I settle here?" A lot of those have less obvious benefits like the fact they are small and tucked away so in a pvp setting you'd be less likely to be discovered, or if you were discovered they're easy to defend because they only have one or two directions they can be accessed from. Sometimes there's a plot that is just kind of okay but then there's a higher tier material node just on the plot of land, and it'll respawn after a while so you've got a small but infinite no hassle source of copper or iron or crystals at that base. I never played the PvP and I probably never will but I can absolutely appreciate the attempts at balancing the plots of land.

To me, V Rising has become the game that does nearly everything Valheim does but better (with the exception of building, but V Rising's castle building is still good.)
@MrHossie10 ай бұрын
I agree! and I'll be doing a valheim video soon!

Fun fact; the devs for V Rising and Valheim are basically neighbors. They work in the same office park.

It’s a good game, but tends to die off quickly. There’s just not enough content, perhaps variety as well, to keep players logging in long term. The design relies heavily on its multiplayer interaction, so when that social aspect dries up, there’s little to do for those that remain other than to raid the abandoned castles and polish off their castles before calling it quits. Every server I’ve joined has died this way.

I know I really wish for a game like this but with HEAVY rpg elements with npc towns you can interact with and what not

I picked up the game a couple of days ago, waiting for D4 season 4 to start, and I have enjoyed it so far. I was surprised how linear it is though, as progression is blocked by boss fights, so you are stuck until you kill the next boss to be able to upgrade your castle or gear. I agree that the controls are wonky. I don't like them, but I may have to figure out how to put the spells and abilities on the numbers instead of letters. Hopefully it is that customizable, but I have not looked into it yet. Right now, I keep dying to the frost archer so I am stuck at very low level and every time I die I respawn a million miles away and that part sucks too. Not sure if there is something else that can be done to respawn nearer to your death spot. Overall though, I am enjoying it, as it has a lot of building aspects that I was not expecting and that I have always enjoyed.

for me, it's the combat that keeps me hooked. it's tough and brutal but when you get good at it and are just rolling through high level areas stomping everything.. makes you feel like a god lol. As for the bit about the repetitive nature of making new characters, that's where pvp shines. When starting anew on a freshly wiped pvp server, it's always a race to get your start and get a base down while fighting off other players. it's just so much fun, win or lose. for me anyways.

only scores i care about are gameplay tbh lol. im stoked honestly that this diablo like game made by a small developer is being made, reminds me a bit of what blizzard used to be like before the hostile take over from activision. The games not even done! it shows massive potential from what ive gathered from u n what ive read.

by far probably one of my favorite games that has came out in the last like 2 years or so (kinda forgot when this came out) but besides the point it does feel quite unique but all fills a lot of different aspects from other games i play like league of legends style combat / pvp (full loot style) from other survival games that i play. only issue is replayability imo is quite meh and boring and i honestly think that is the only thing that keeps this game down is people simply dont want to play more than maybe 2 or so wipes on like a pvp server. personally even as much as i love this game i still probably only put in like 150 hours or so which i mean is still quite a decent amount but that was within like a span of 4 weeks or so (2 weeks on release 2 weeks on their expansion update)

Glad you decided to give it another go. Combat is frustrating and had me rage quitting a few times, but despite that, I still enjoyed it

Thinking of getting back into the game. Last time I played was when it was released in EA. I did have a lot of fun back then, but it indeed became boring after the last boss (then Solaris) was beaten. Very curious to see where the game headed in the past 2 years. It looked very promising.

I'm really confused how you struggle handling 6 abilities. I picked up the game and never had any issue with control , felt good from the first time i got in , honestly i feel like you just haven't played many game to think of the control as an issue.

for me, its just where the skills are on my keyboard. Having to hit Q or R instead of 1,2,3 is what is making it difficult for me. I am sure there is a way to remap, but I have not looked into it yet.

The controls were extremely easy and not clunky, this is the first time I’ve heard someone have trouble with it, it’s not a casual game either

I agree with the comments on controls. Combat isnt that difficult, but they're really tedious on my mouse and keyboard.

I'm new to this game , its on sale for $15.00 , i want to buy it so i can play it on my AYANEO 2 is it worth it? Can some one Type a game similar but but better than this game?

Yeah, for me this is a very frustrating game. So far I am no Vampire, I am a Copperpire. I have only a few hours in this game and I play Solo PvE but I basically can't do anything until I have killed some wolf, where is it? Far away, I barely survive the walk there. So the last 3 hours I have tried to find copper, to get at least some better gear to help but half the time I can only sleep in the coffin and getting copper is so tedious. This game really hopes the player stays for some long time reward because the start is truly a grind.

Mid to end game gear is pretty sick, ngl. The ultimate mega hyper final bosses (For Realsies^TM) are definitely balanced around and intended for multiplayer though, they're a massive ballache of cheap bullshit solo.
@datscrazy409510 ай бұрын
I don’t know how people die on the regular bosses ngl 😂 But I get if your not used to a survival game and know how to find the crafting, guess the resources, and what are high level areas and low level areas it would be hard. It’s like it you played Wow for the first time with no rpg experience

@starryeyes586010 ай бұрын
Boss difficulty scales to how many players are in the arena. which means the more players fighting the boss, the more health the boss has and the more adds it can spawn. so boss fights with others can actually be much harder if someone is not pulling their weight in the fight. Currently, all bosses in the game can easily be defeated solo, just takes time to get used to their attack patterns and figuring out which skills work the best against them. @@MisterZimbabwe

after 200 hours its a 8/10 games for sure not complete game cause theres still one more region for developers to finish the pvp is between friendly and russians that distrespect both rules and just douchebags admins usually are no help and depends on the server there no cheaters problem but if you let a bad person to take advantage of your position they likely will and come back for more cause there no limit how low these people can go

I don't like multiplayer only games. Everything about this I would like except the forced "online" play. yes, I tried making a "solo" server but the scaling is way off and bugged
@MrHossie10 ай бұрын
I agree - that is probably why I did not enjoy it my first time around.
@starryeyes586010 ай бұрын
what do you mean the scaling is way off? All the content in the game can be done solo even on a full pop server. there are also tons of settings you change if you make your own server.
