If you really boil down AJ’s elite opponents i think you can only really say Klitschko but then you have to remember Klitschko wasn’t the champion, he’d just come off a loss to Fury and he was 40+. Even then it was a 50/50 fight and AJ was in his prime. AJ has been a great ambassador and Eddie did a great job of building him up too. He reminds me of Rocky in Rocky 3 where he had all the glitz and the glamour but then agreed to a fight with Clubber Lang (a real contender) and got schooled. Only difference is i cant see AJ coming back like Rocky did.

I don't think it's "PTSD". That suggests he's behaving in a way that is different to what he had done prior to the traumatic experience and is unable to cope sufficiently as a result. But Joshua has never been good under pressure. This isn't new from him. When has he ever found a way to sustain himself when faced with a real challenge? He simply doesn't know how to react. Klitschko let him off the hook, Ruiz showed him too much respect but still got the job done. Usyk swarmed him and nearly finished him twice. Dubois showed him no respect and could sustain his aggression and you saw the result. He tries his best, he's not a coward, but that nous and resolve required in high pressure moments deserts him.

If AJ and his team truly believe it was the 1st round knock down that decided the outcome of the fight then they're truly delusional and can expect another battering in AJ's next fight unless he fights some cheery picked bowl over punch bag opponent. The reality was AJ got battered and semi-buckled by Dubois several times in the first round before he got dropped. Sure, that knock down was a big hammer, but DDD had stamped his authority from the first moment of that fight, took the middle of the ring and his cruncher of a jab was battering AJ, snapping his head back and got a few little half wobbles. This carried on throughout the entire fight. It wasn't because he was dropped in the first round, AJ just showed his age and decline in punch resistance. It happens to em all.

These comments and replies are a joke. Ive barely ever seen a AJ fanboy as they all say, All i see is AJ haters. Yes the dude isnt a all time great, He got beat up by Ruiz and Dubois, but he avenged Ruiz loss by winning 11 of 12 rds, say he ran what ever he won the fight did what he had to do. Im fairly confident he avenges the Dubois loss too. I aint no fan boy but i aint a hater either, I believe that was the best Dubois we have ever seen vs the worst Joshua we have ever seen.
