Shiki wins this match easily 7-3 maybe 8-2. Probably Wu’s worst matchup. Wu wants to zone. She cannot set traps without eating 80% super from full screen. She struggles with fast in your face characters and that’s shiki’s speciality. Wu’s normals are pretty ass compared to the rest of the cast so she doesn’t want to be next to you generally. I think you got caught by surprise cause she does have some dirty stuff that you have to be aware of. That being said I love Wu and she has real potential. To any Wu mains I recommend having another character in your back pocket specifically to cover this matchup.

The burst is unblockable but the setting the trap is slow to recover. As a Wu main I often have to judge my own health and use the setup as a trade (let them hit me out of the trap setup's recovery then burst the hit) to get it in (and if they rage burst before reaching the spikes in response I just lost health for nothing). She's got pretty bad normals overall so you often need to be very tricky in your approach. She does get another difficult to setup unblockable by using universal overhead to push into a trap (around 9:37 looks like a decent opportunity) but the damage is only around 100 with no way to follow up (you can follow up if your overhead hits first while pushing into the trap but you want the overhead to hit in the middle of the spikes to make it unblockable). She can be fun but sometimes it feels like you're doing on the fly calculus to win with her.

I just want to say.... When you lost your weapon and it went off screen, you should've stayed back and not approached. You can crouch her fireballs so she isn't really a threat fullscreen, and would havr had to approach you to gain the life advantage. Then you could've gotten your weapon back probably. But instead you put yourself in the opposite corner.

You are correct... Underestimating her will be your demise. Also the first super special attack does half-life bar once you get damaged. Second one does insane damage once you get hit by a shield you'll find yourself get roasted by a dragon. It does 40 hits possibly option depends her health bar is going to be crazy for all of us.

3:40 Well what happened was that Ruixiang lands Weapon Catch as Shiki is about to land Medium Slash and she time it perfectly to counter it. 4:15 As he took half of his half health as Ruixiang, she uses one on her special attacks are unblockable and use Rage and the burst push him right into it and get Conclusion Slash Finished and died from half-health.
