That I disagree with to an extent. Has the PG Era run its course? Yeah it has, and it's well past time for a new era. However, it still served its purpose and some great stories did come from it. I don't think moments like the Yes Movement would have worked nearly as well in a non-PG setting. And also I do firmly believe that the Women's Revolution simply would never have really become a thing had things not gone tamer over the years. Because while the Men's Division during that time was absolutely the best period ever for the company... The Women's Division was legitimately the lowest point of WWE/WWF ever. But as I said before, we had those moments, and now a new understanding of what can make more mature storytelling work. And we also don't need to worry about Vince's ideas of a new Attitude Era. He would have brought that to the ground. If anyone can bring about a good modern Attitude Era, it's Triple H, and I'll be all for it.

Renaissance era is the perfect name for this, because under Triple H's rule, we've reverted back to basics. Long term storytelling, every match matter, results matter, little wasted moments, ect. How long will it last, no clue, but let's enjoy this while it's happening.

And they still haven't. GHo and see for yourself. They are still rated TV-PG. Hilarious how you clowns spin on use of blood and some cuss words in to WWE is now TV-14. It ain't. It is still TV-PG It hbas just gone close to the TV-14 end than the TV-G end that VInce was leaning to.

@demondoggg666again Again IT IS NOT HAPPENING, PG isn't being dictated by any streaming service or cable channel. It is being dictated by the ADVERTISERS. Specifically, Mattel. If WWE goes to TV-14, Mattel and other advertisers will walk out. Netflix ain't going to change squat. WWE will not willingly give up the Mattel partnership. PG is going to remain. People need to get this through their thick skulls.

The thing is how can we expect to create new stars and faces of the wwe when PG guidelines apply. When it was TV-14 wrestlers had more personality and charisma because they was being authentic. That’s what we want as REAL wrestling fans. You can’t get no one over with this PG BS.

Fans like to rear on the side of moderacy when it comes to this sort of stuff, but WWE seems to have an edge for the first time in almost 15 years! This is the same reason we're all biting on this. It seems important & more relevant than ever. Shifting towards this style of content, within reason, is only going to be a great thing for WWE as a product.

Seems like WWE may be pushing towards a more TV-14 rating. But I'll point some things out. The landscape of WWE is definitely changing. Vince McMahon is no longer in charge, the WWE is now owned by Endeavor, and Triple H is in control of creative. It does appear that elements of The Attitude Era are returning. The use of blood, Rhea mooning an audience at a live event, and the swearing may suggest a shift in the overall TV rating. But I wouldn't call this the return of the Attitude Era. Because it wouldn't be the same Attitude Era. Many elements of the Attitude Era are outdated and wouldn't work in the modern era. It wasn't just the Attitude Era that had blood and swearing. The Ruthless Aggression Era had plenty of blood and swearing. And of course, the Old School Era as I call it had blood and some swearing. It seems that WWE might be using blood and swearing from a storyline basis. But it may very well be minimal. Not every match or brawl has to involve blood. Not every match in the Attitude Era was bloody. Blood couod be preserves for Extreme Rules matches and such. Or brawls that involve the use of weapons. As for swearing, the WWE doesn't need to use it frequently in order to sound "edgy." If they're not careful, their stars will sound more like a bunch of 13 year old Call of Duty players who swear because it's "cool." They can use swearing from a storytelling point, and for humor as well. But they don't need to overdo it. One thing you pointed out is that SmackDown has always been PG. I definitely agree because even in the Attitude Era, SmackDown was often much more tamer than Raw at times. If the WWE adopts a TV-14 rating, it'll likely be used more for Raw and PLEs. Especially since SmackDown will likely remain on network TV. There's definitely a shift happening in WWE. I personally refer to this era as the "Phoenix Era." WWE was nearly undone, but it rose from the ashes and is stronger than ever in my view.
