We always had a black cat on the farm. She even slept on my pillow above my head. My stepfather was afraid of her because she hissed at him. ( he abused me) so my grandma would hear her and would be like a cat standing behind him asking what he was doing, boy you should have seen him jump and stutter! I had a white cat too, and before our border collies a calico named Isis the goddess. After her passing I didn’t get a new one. My grandma was known in our village as herb lady.
