I love this!!! Yes, we have noticed that our puppy will sometimes yawn when we’re petting her and I didn’t realize that she wasn’t giving consent. I would continue anyway and then she’d nip me and I’d just say “oh she’s teething” or “oh she’s being a little brat”. Thank you for sharing this I love trying to understand her behavior. On that note I’m binge watching your videos right now and I’m so happy that I found you, you are a great source of knowledge. Thank you for being generous with your time and information

Maria, most people believe that dogs LOVE to be petted and that small dogs LOVE to be picked up, but that isn't always the case. Learning their communication signals will help end the misunderstanding!

Body language is key! So much we need to learn about our pets. Example People stare into their dogs eyes but in the dog world that’s threatening and usually will end up in a fight… or pet their dog over the head but that’s what dogs do for dominance and we wonder why the dog is tense or still … it’s communication!
