Okay, so I love the conversations being had, But I personally think Blaze was not given her flowers. The girlypop alternative to sonic, HAS her own universe, literally was a big sister to Cream in Rush,Literally the sassy no fucks given icon and do or die personality? She ate that and left no crumbs! *Objection!!* 💥 I would put Shadow in MOTHER tier, he more than earned his place at this point: he’s iconic, he’s camp, he’s got an entire industrial goth vibe/aesthetic associated with him, tearjerker lore, he’s been a hit since day one, HE ROLLERBLADES and twirls and just the way he moves and carries himself around in general (I love how cute he looks when he runs on walls in Shadow 05, or how he made the roundhouse kick his signature move), those dark angel wings he had in Generations, the red eyeliner + highlights combo, the platform shoes, the way he fixes his quills in idle animations, like. Girl. He’s got so much going on it’s ridiculous. This boy is babygirl, he gives Evanescence, he’s even besties with Amy of all characters, and is close friends with Rouge too! Him and Rouge are like a power duo. If Team Rose is an essential on the girly, sweet end of the scale, Team Dark is on the exact opposite end with the dramatic, dark, angsty tone, all of them serve in their own way. ALTHOUGH I’m still happy that he at least made it into the Girlypop tier in this video…. But Shadow👏🏻slays 👏🏻 I mean it! Also Big being in MOTHER is simply YES ABSOLUTELY 💯

While I agree with this listing for the most part, I would have to say that I would put Blaze up in mother. This was one of the first, if not the only female character that was introduced to have a super form that rivals Sonic, Shadow, Silver, etc. that included her dimensions’s version of the Chaos Emerald (Sol Emeralds) (shout to trip the sungazer tho) She was introduced as a duel protagonist with Sonic in not one but two games. Let’s now forget that she was also the only female character was a boss knight in Sonic and the Black Knight. Like please give my girl her flowers 😭 She IS mother I feel like the 06 revision was what really messed up her character but other than that, the evidence is hard to ignore

18:30 i was born in 1991 and sa and sa2 are DEEPLY entrenched in my brain and i had a whole geocities website dedicated to my chao. I was obsessed and in love. My brother would, on his own save file, throw and mess the chao up and I remember SCREAMING at him for being so cruel. I was head over freaking heels about my chao babies. I won the crazy little round batteries on ebay so I could restock my VMU because I was taking them everywhere. School, church, parents friends house,everywhere. Sooooo YES sonic team needs to take that sweet sweet source code (I personally liked sonic adventure dx's chao garden the most) and make a freaking new chao garden game. That would elevate the whole franchise to mother territory!!!
