We all know that our GRCs and SMCs change its shape in between general elections. This video shows how it changed over the years and how many times an area have switched between GRC/SMC.
Note that election results will not be the focus of this video.

Why begin in 1948? This is the year where Singapore held its first general elections. It is also the first election that involves the entire country. In the past only the city area of Singapore held their own elections.
However, the elections held under the Legislative Council was only opened to British subjects. In addition, only a few seats of the Council is reserved for elected officials. Things changed under the Legislative Assembly where the local citizens are allowed to vote and most in 1955 then all in 1959 onward of the seats in the Assembly are to be elected.
As for 1963, I'm not sure why there were no changes to the boundaries and I did not dive deeper into this. Perhaps the merger with Malaysia might have something to do with it. Fun fact: the merger with Malaysia happened in the midst of the election campaign.
Following the separation from Malaysia in 1965, the Legislative Assembly is renamed to the Parliament of Singapore. The 1988 general election saw the introduction of block voting in the form of Group Representative Constituency (GRC).
