But what you’d have to consider is that we buy products from our locals to support them, while yes that does support Konami - it ultimately supports the store more because they have to make a return on the product they purchased. If we REALLY want change to be made. Locals have to stop buying Konami product which means ultimately locals have to drop yugioh; think about it.

Konami’s terrible solution to “fixing” the game is piling more broken cards upon the prior batch of broken cards that replaces them basically and this has been an issue since the beginning.

Konami needs to release this card in order to fix the game. Honorable Battlefield Normal Spell Spell traps and monster effects cannot be activated in response to playing this card. For the rest of the duel both players may only play one spell, one trap and special summon one monster each turn.

Yugioh needs less hand traps and they need to steer the game in a way where hand traps aren’t needed otherwise decks in the future will be 75% hand traps and then 15% 0 card ftks.

@@yacine656I think Yugioh needs to start classifying cards and limiting how many per class you can run. So like only 6 searchers, 6 hand traps. It would be an interesting way to balance the game but I doubt it o would happen.

Yugioh will die with us. Very little new people, especially young people are getting into the game and more and more people are leaving each year, now even pro players are dipping. Konami will have to do something soon or they will lose their playerbase.

Yacine, ban together with Sam, Jesse, APS, Cemo and create a NEW Format, Advance 2.0 . Look at the Mtg community they came together and made Commander Format, and Wizards had to suck it up, they even started to make products to support it. This is the only way to save YGO from Greed, and Lazy product & banlists.

Yugioh's design would only work if you painstakingly curated a card pool to make sure play patterns are healthy. It would be like balancing a rotating format with sets that are draftable. MBT's Rotation Format was this and it was excellent. The problem was that he called it rotation even though it wouldn't rotate until a year in if it even reached that point. In reality it was just an excellently designed cube.

Im tired of complaining. Now im trying to adapt. In Master duel im waiting for those mulcharmy cards. Along with Maxx C, I feel that if everyone is playing some crazy new power deck then nobody is at a disadvantage. Recently i played a game against branded, where we BOTH had Maxx C popping off 2 turn in a row. It was actually incredible. So much interaction and things happening.

Konami's obsession with giving every halfway decent deck a hyper effecient and compact engine that can play off just one card has reduced the game to comparing opening hands. It simply isn't very fun. For all the interesting things decks can do, when the vast majority of decks are running 60:40 or even 50:50 engine to non-engine, the game feels very samey.

Konami released too many hand traps, then started releasing cards that were stronger and stronger until they could play through any hand trap. The strange irony is that the increase in card power has caused people to play MORE hand traps, because their decks are insanely consistent with 15-18 engine cards. The worst part, is that even if they did a nuke list that killed every single top deck AND banned every hand trap that currently sees play, it would just create another problem. All of the lower tier and rogue decks from the 2017-2020 era that were reasonably kept in check by hand traps would then explode, and it would require another nuke. At this point, Konami probably needs a full format reset.

They should have banned Flamberge and Super Poly. Solves the problem as neither deck would be able to claim tier 1 as they would be. They could still be used alongside other engines.

Abolishing the limited cards list and instead "all cards" by default should be at 1 (still we should have banned and semi-limited),that will decrease the consistency of all decks. Personally i believe that the extremely high consistency levels combined with the 1 card combos are running the game.

Well simple, Just stop printing 1 card combo decks. Print decks that play with at least 2 cards, And gets "a little bit" more advantage by playing with 3 or more cards. That way people will have to have a balanced ratio between handtraps and engine cards. The entire problem with the game is 1 card combos everywhere. Remove that, And you will see how much more the game improves. Staples being too OP is a different story

There was a rant of this meta going on for too long since zoodiacs! Ban drident, broadbull, limit chakrine. Oh wait unban drident, broadbull, limit it, years later, etc. Sky strikers, spyrals, same. At this rate, Konami just needs to unban all floodgates, full power at 3, stop all this 1 card 20 special summons shenanigans. Vanity majesty fiend secret village macro cosmos, dimension fissure, necrovalley. Add dark law, last warrior on planet, only one, skill drain , soul drain, gozen, even match. Make them all easy to summon lvl4 effect monsters. There! Meta fixed! 😂
