Wow! Amazing player/singer/performer. Thank you Tony McManus for leading me to the artistry of Isaac Guillory. The ending, with Isaac and his guitar taking a bow, is priceless.

Tony McManus is amazing. I had the pleasure to meet him and watch him perform a couple of years ago. I've just "discovered" Isaac Guillory. Wow, did I miss out all these years.

This guy is incredible. I first saw him at Cambridge Folk Festival in 1988. I’m trying to learn some of his amazing techniques.

I remember Isaac givnig this wondrous workshop at the Cambridge Folk Festival (dunno which year) -- but it was an 10.a.m. on he sunday morning. i was determined to see it and got in early to get a seat, well floor, as close as possible. Problem was, I was still "ver, ver'*drunk from the Guinness, and my fried Don's whiskey only a few short hours before. This fast , cool, smooth delivery was an absolute revelation to me and I staggered out into the cool morning air loaded with knowledge and enthusiasm, but then the morning caught up with me ....and ....it ...all ...faded ...away ... by the time I got back to my tent.

Many thanks Ron, for posting these videos. It is absolutely amazing , ten years after his death, to see a video of Isaac doing a workshop. I first saw him doing a workshop in Cambridge in 1975. A truly phenomenal player and an amazing singer as well.

As always, didnt die did it?! lol And neither has Isaac. Iam carrying the guillory torch in sheffield folk and blues scene, but only cos ive been playin 23yrs and THE man actually taught me 1 on 11 as a favour 4 putting him up when he came around derbyshire! wow what an honour, thankx Isaac, c u soon on the beach! lol

also i should add, isaac also put an expensive good quality bar pick up, like a fishman, or martin?! So he got the body noise of a country jumbo takemine, with palathetic pick up system. In other words, a peizo, or transducer, gives a tight punchy sound.and the bar pick up helps retain the acoustic vibration from the sound hole. Make sense? He did tell me himself lol
