It's been 15 years since & I love this version of this song & I always lose it in tears at the end of "Soul Men" movie. This song is dedicated to my favorite heroes in my childhood who were in heaven: Robin Williams, Gilbert Gottfried, Kevin Conroy, Jason David Frank, Clarence Gilyard, Ray Stevenson, Pee-Wee Herman, Jim Brown, & The Black Moses himself Issac Hayes. Rest in Lyrics & paradise & thank you.

HE WAS CALLED BLACK MOSES BECAUSE HE HAD A WAY TO ARANGE A SONG AND MAKE IT HIS OWN. HIS MUSIC WAS FUNKY, CLASSIC, SMOOTH, BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE. I'M 65 BORN IN 1956, I'VE ALWAYS LOVED AND STILL LOVE HIS STYLE OF MUSIC. AND THAT INFLUENCED AND VOICE, YO ISAAC HAYES WAS PUTTIN IT DOWN, STRONG & SEXY, SMOOTH WITH A GROOVE. HIS MUSIC WOULD DIFFANELTY PUT YOU IN A MOOD, HE IS SO COOL HOW HE COULD AND WOULD PUT YOU IN "THAT MOOD". HIS MUSIC MADE ME SOMETIMES CRY IF MY HEART WAS DOWN AND I MISSED MY WOMAN, EVEN WHEN HE TOLD THE WOMAN IT WAS OVER HE WAS SO COOL WITH IT. LIKE WHEN HE SANG "NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP", DAMN SO COLD WITH IT WHEN HE BEGED. I CLOSE MY EYES AND JUST LET THE MUSIC TAKE ME AWAY. WE MISS YOU BLACK MOSES, I THANK GOD FOR YOUR GIFT OF MUSIC, AND I THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MUSIC YOU LEFT US, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY ONE OF A KIND, REST IN PARADISE FOREVER 😎🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎼🎤💓 LISTENING TO BLACK MOSES IN 2021 AND FOREVER MORE 👍👑💃✊😎

This takes me back to my very first love- I loved this album and always will. Soul music was not very popular in Australia in the 70s- most radio stations played more pop music, but my boyfriend was a DJ who brought great soul albums back from America when he traveled there. I'm from Sydney and we are currently in lockdown because of covid which has managed to find it's way in to Australia- after being covid free for 18 months! This is a good time to reminisce about times gone by and to play all these amazing soul songs from the 70s! Isaac will always be one of my favourites- so sad he's gone.

I am too and I agree. How one man did just as good as MICHAEL JACKSON AND HIS BROTHERS SINGING THE SAME SONG...BY HIMSELF. Will never not be amazing to me. My wife and I are 29 and when our siblings or our mothers have our 3 kids on a Friday night or Saturday night this is likely on the Playlist we play as we massage each other's feet and talk about our week before we watch some movies or do...something else. Lol. Outside of Silk Sonic and a few others it is so hard to come across beautiful music like this anymore. Our oldest was born when we were 15 and often jokes about how we're simultaneously the youngest parents and the oldest parents of his group of friends, 😂😂😂. Guilty as charged. We gladly accept that indictment. To listen to audible art rather than make a song they're not passionate about, they don't really care about, don't care what they're saying, just using a beautiful and Devine talent given to them to line their pockets and just making something that will sell more so than something that'll be felt. I was 7 years old when my father played this album, sat my mother on his lap and held her, as they sat on the porch listening to the rain. My lil sister used to be terrified of storms and this song was one of the only things that would comfort her. There are many things that one can feel when listening to this beautiful album

I never can say goodbye, no, no, no, no, now Never can say goodbye Even though the pain and heartache Seem to follow me wherever I go Though I try and try to hide my feelings They always seem to show, Then you try to say you're leaving me And I always have to say no Tell me why is it so That I never can say goodbye, no, no, no, no, now Never can say goodbye Every time I think I've had enough And start heading for the door There's a very strange vibration Piercing me right through the core It says, turn around, you fool You know you love him more and more Tell me why is it so Don't wanna let you go I never can say goodbye girl Ooh ooh baby (don't wanna let you go girl) I never can say goodbye, no no no, no no no Ooh, oh I never can say goodbye girl Ooh ooh ooh (don't wanna let you go girl) I never can say goodbye, no no no, no no no, ooh Never can say goodbye, no, no, no, no, now Never can say goodbye I keep thinking that our problems Soon are all gonna work out But there's that same unhappy feeling There's that anguish, there's that doubt It's the same old dizzy hangup Can't do with you or without Tell me why is it so Don't wanna let you go I never can say goodbye girl Ooh ooh baby (hey baby) I never can say goodbye, no no no, no no no Ooh, oh I never can say goodbye girl Ooh oh (hey baby) I never can say goodbye, no no no, no no no, ooh I never can say goodbye girl Ooh ooh baby (hey baby) I never can say goodbye, no no no, no no no Ooh, oh I never can say goodbye girl Ooh oh (hey baby)
