I truly believe that you're living a life linked to the seasons as humans were supposed to live. Time to wake up from winter and work hard through summer and then take a much needed rest through winter again. I totally envy your lifestyle and positivity.
@antonboludo88862 жыл бұрын
Envy is a waste of mental and emotional energy. Envy means you are jealous of another person and actually wish them harm. It is a deadly sin. If you like her lifestyle, I recommend that you get inspired by it in order to improve your own life. God Bless! 😀

Thinking human is supposed to live linked with seasons isn't really right, depending on where you live on earth everything can change. Everybody doesn't have spring/summer/autumn/winter. And that make life waaaayyyyyyyyyy different.

@@antonboludo8886 There might not be defined "seasons", but even in the tropics there are times in the year that are exceptionally hot and humid with the sun straight overhead. During these times you will find people slowing down compared to the more tolerable times.

Long distance hiker here: get some unscented trash compactor bags. Put one in your pack for all your not-waterproof gear, and fold it down so water can't get in. If you have to carry your sleeping bag on the outside, put one of the trash compactor bags inside the sleeping bag stuff sack to protect your sleeping bag. You were quite right not to sleep up at the top of that mountain in wet gear. With some added waterproofing you'd have been all right. Best wishes on future hikes!

Next year why don’t you try canning some of the things you get in your garden? Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, the apples, berries, all are great canned and will offset not being able to get fresh produce in winter. You can even can soups, chilis, etc. Canning is easy once you get the tools for canning, and your garden produces enough. You can even supplement by buying what you don’t grow and canning that too. Then you can appreciate your gardening efforts year round. I do the old fashioned canning with jars in hot water bathes, but pressure canning is also an option. My Dad just gave me a ton of pears that he got off a neighbors tree that is partially in his yard. They were wonderful, but were all ripening at once. So in order to save them from spoiling, I canned a bunch of them in a light sugar sauce ( I made it really mostly water because the pears were so sweet). They are so good. They just melt in your mouth and are delicious. I will can them again next year and do some with cinnamon. I also can fig preserves, but we had that big freeze in TX last winter, and my figs froze back and haven’t produced enough to make the preserves yet. I am hoping next year. I also canned tomatoes (I made tomato sauce) from my Dad’s tomato plants as they produced a ton of tomatoes this year. Now it is pecan season, so we will be shelling and freezing pecans soon from the families pecan tree.

Then this video began with you spending time with your mom, and I could smile because I know you don’t take her for granted, and you’re both investing in your relationship. You see, I lost my mom to cancer when I was your age, 23, and I know I took her for granted. Isabel I want to thank you. At times the feeling that the world is falling apart it takes it's toll. Your beautiful smile and introspective thoughts are so helpful and of course Nature such a respite . I was touched so when you and your mom took time to be together. Though the weather was difficult it's moments like this with her you will hold dear and treasure forever. Both my parents are gone and the feeling can be daunting at times. The void so final but if I allow thought to turn to memories made together it brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. Mental health is a challenge for us all and as you express a struggle now and then the ability to emerse in nature with alone time is refreshing. An example that we are not alone and that it's ok to have season's of feelings just as we see in nature. Thanks so much and know that you make a difference to many sharing. Keep your love ones close and continue building memories mixed with much needed self time. Blessings to you and by the way those meals you prepare always make me want to taste the goodness you prepare. You have so many talents Kudos.
