Dr. Tour is clearly a man of God doing great service for the Kingdom. I am regularly blown away by his ongoing offer to personally Zoom with ANY individual that will talk to him about the resurrection of Jesus. I mean who makes such an offer to total Internet strangers? He means it too. I'm certain Dr. Tour is far busier than I and doingg far more important work. What he does must be VERY pleasing to the Father!

Mystery Babylon appears in Revelation 17:5 . So I’m not sure the Babylon of future is the Babylon of old. It’s some where else, a place that’s a mystery to the ancient world, say America possibly.

Definitely not America. America will be one of the Shepherds (countries) in rescue of Israel, there will be 7 in total. I don’t believe it will be Iraq either but Saudi Arabia. And it will be attacked by Iran before this final battle here mentioned.

@@CP-012 The literal city of Babylon was comprised of many people from all nations, just as the current or figurative, spiritual, or prophetic Babylon is. Daniel's vision of the statue details whose wine is mixed with Babylon's; namely Greek, Persian, and Roman. In the prophetic sense, these are the "leavened bread" which Jesus spoke about; false doctrines. Greek, Persian, Roman, and Babylonian culture forms the backbone of our secular human history. We're a type after the type that were the Israelites held in Babylon, which is why we're called to set ourselves apart or, "come out of her. So, it *is* the Babylon of old but it's also the "Babylon" spoken of now, which is the Babylon prophesied by Daniel. That's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm really at a loss for words to convey my amazement at continually discovering the complexity of God's Word.

When talking about "future Babylon" as Dr. Tour puts it, and especially when speaking about Babylon in a prophetic sense, we're talking about the mindset or the Babylonian system. It's the same sense as when the disciples had no bread and Jesus warned them of the leaven of the Pharisees; he wasn't speaking literally about leaven or bread, he was speaking about the doctrine of the Pharisees. In that regard we are and have been living in Babylon for centuries as our modern world is predicated on many of her principles; Babylon is the image of the proto-typical secular city state which proffers false doctrine. NY, among others, is almost the perfect image of Babylon.

@MrAbc54321 I thought so too, but scripture seems very, very clear, which city is mystery babylon. Here are some clues, who has the covenant with God and God calls them harlots, who (or which city) did Jesus speak of the killing of prophets and who are the daughters of Zion (who then is the mother?). When the prophets speak of harlotery, who do they speak of? And most surprisingly, the Book Of Revelation actually gave the name of the great city and then described the Mystery Babylon. It is like a continuous exposition. You will be shocked. I was.

A gathering in the presence of my beloved surpasses the grandeur of kings' palaces. If the believer were to behold his beauty, they would undoubtedly cry out, "Take me with you, I beseech you." As I sit before you, basking in the radiance of your gaze, I draw strength and value from your very essence. In your eyes, I find not only my worth but also the depth of my existence. The scars on your hands speak volumes of a love unparalleled, a sacrifice unmatched. I have never encountered a love as profound as yours, a regard so profound and unyielding. Your willingness to lay down your life for me, even when I stood as your adversary, leaves me humbled and in awe. How can I reciprocate such devotion when I am merely your child? Your love for me is a beacon, illuminating my path and offering solace in a tumultuous world. In your presence, mysteries unravel, and truths resonate with clarity. Your words cleanse my soul and resonate with the purity of a divine symphony. Your prayers for me are a shield, a promise of unwavering support and guidance. As I sit in your presence, I am not just a disciple, but a cherished soul under your tutelage. Your teachings impart wisdom and purpose, grounding me in a world of uncertainty. I find myself not just a follower but a leader under your benevolent gaze. Your unwavering commitment and sincerity inspire me to surrender the reins of my life to you, finding solace in your unwavering grace. We have found more than a savior; we have found a home, a sanctuary within your boundless love. Are you a disciple of Jesus? Do you walk in his footsteps, following the path he has laid before you? Your aspiration to remain devoted to him is a testament to your faith and dedication. To be a disciple of Jesus is not just an honor; it is a sacred duty, a calling to embody his teachings and exemplify his love. In your presence, I find not just a teacher but a guiding light, leading me towards a life of purpose and fulfillment.

@@Logic807 Yes, literally, but it's also an allusion to Rome; it's Rome that carried Babylonian, Persian, Greek, and their own culture into the present. These were prophesied by Daniel as being the hallmarks of "future Babylon", portrayed in a dream as a statue whose various parts represent these cultures. When Revelation talks about the wine which the nation's are drunk on, it's the same thing that Jesus was talking about when he spoke of the Leaven of the Pharisees which, in the broader sense is any false doctrine...which are any that deny the Father and the Son. Unfortunately, the RCC carries Rome's legacy to this day and many feel that they have mixed their "wine" with the "leavened bread". You have to admit, the description in Revelation does ring a bell.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Watch the KZbin videos “The New Covenant” by David Wilkerson, or Bob George, and David H.J. Gay. ===== Proof the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled in the past: Based on Hebrews 12:22-24, the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26 cannot be separated from the New Covenant fulfilled by His blood at Calvary. See the words "church" and "mount Sion" and "new covenant" and "Jesus" and "blood" in the passage. Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel to reveal the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then the angel failed to even mention the New Covenant. Or, is the covenant with the many in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the many in Matthew 26:28? The 1599 Geneva Bible is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America, before John Darby showed up on our shores about the time of the Civil War. What was the earlier understanding of Daniel 9:27 found below in the notes of the 1599 Geneva Bible? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan 9:27 And he shal confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate. Daniel 9:27 And he (a) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to (b) cease, (c) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (a) By the preaching of the Gospel he affirmed his promise, first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles. (b) Christ accomplished this by his death and resurrection. (c) Meaning that Jerusalem and the sanctuary would be utterly destroyed because of their rebellion against God, and their idolatry: or as some read, that the plague will be so great, that they will all be astonished at them.

Prophecy can and does seem to have more than a singular event. The spirit or symbolism of Babylon exists today and end times and since the prophecy of John in Revelation long after the original Babylon. The woman Babylon sits on (dominates) the beast. The beast hates the woman and will with a number of kings / nations in cooperation, destroy Babylon. Rev 17

Hebrew = the offspring of Abraham Israelite = the offspring of Jacob (all 12 tribes plus the Levites) Jew = the offspring of the tribe of Judah If one wishes to interpret "Israel" literally, they must understand these things. Yet, who is the true Israel? Be not led astray. What does Scripture say? To the church of Smyrna, it is written: "I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the slander by those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan." To the church of Philadelphia, it says: "Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie-I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and make them know that I have loved you." [Revelation 2:9; 3:9]

Google clearly states Babylon is unihabited today. The more modern city of Hilla is nearby with a population of 500,000. Sadaam started building a theme park he called Babylon. His idea died with him. He is reported to have believed he was a reincarnation of Nebuduchadanezzar II. Better check with the archaeologists about that or go to Google it. Bible scholars often consider the Babylon you speak of as long dead & permanently dead, and the Rev 14, 17, & 18 as a spiritual Babylon, just as there is spiritual Rome as well. DC is clearly modeled after ancient Roma. Jerusalem is referred to spiritual Rome & Babylon.

It’s not like you can’t publish critiques in these journals. I read 2 critiques published in Angewandte Chemie and Nature about how a compound made by Stephen Liddle’s group may not exhibit aromaticity. Why CAN you publish critiques on those topics but not origin of life if, like Jim said, they’re both basically synthetic chemistry? So are you a Jew or a Christian? I’m confused
@codonmatrix4510
@codonmatrix4510 18 күн бұрын
A real Christian IS a Jew, but not by the worlds definition, but by God's definition. A "Jew" is God's chosen people. He chooses people who listen to Him and then do as He says, or at least try their best to comply. Very few if any, other than Christ, are perfect. I realize some people have a problem with this concept but it's all over the bible. What did Jesus say? I have not come to change the law, but to FULFILL it. In other words, obey, do as God wants, not as we as humans want. Jesus didn't change or do away with the law, He came to offer clemency to those who admit their guilt, but not to those who deny any guilt at all. You can't be forgiven if you never admit you have a problem. It's kinda like AA I guess, you first have to admit you have a problem before you can start to worry about fixing it. Why fix what you think isn't broken right? Jew/Christian is just a label. BEHAVIOR and your attitude towards God and others is the real issue. Christ is the example. Christ is how Adam was supposed to be but wasn't.

@@codonmatrix4510 Jew is a label and Christian is a label, using that logic one would say that Christians believe that Jesus is lord and savior and is god and is the son of god. Jews reject Jesus in every way and in some cases like in the Talmud mock the claim that he is the messiah and the son of god and that he was born of a virgin and that his death was just.

@@jon5756 Nice try. Did God pick Abram BECAUSE he was a Jew? No. it was because Abram listened to God. Judaism is a religion, Hebrew is an ethnic group. I'm no expert, but as far as the Talmud goes, most of it was written while the Hebrews were captives in Babylon. Were they in Babylon because they were being good? No, it was a punishment. Who was probably the worst offenders? The priests. Show me anywhere in the bible where God says to give authority to "rabbis." Rabbis were created during Babylon because they were in exile and no longer had access to the temple. Who does the bible condemn the most? The "shepherds." After Babylon was captured by the Media-Persians, Cyrus allowed, and even aided the Hebrews in returning to their land. Now the big question. How many of the million or so Hebrews actually availed themselves of the opportunity? How many CHOSE to stay? God is refining Israel like fine gold. God did a little refining during Moses' time as well. What happened after the golden calf incident? And several other times throughout history? There have ALWAYS been some who want God and others who do not. Nothing really new. It comes down to the choices each person makes.

The following proves you are correct. The official source of truth of the earthly city is now the "Babylonian Talmud". What city is now the Holy City that is the future Home of those who belong to Christ? (Two Jerusalems?) Rev 3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Where was Jesus crucified?) === Gal 4:25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children- Gal 4:26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. === Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Heb 11:14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. Heb 11:15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. === Heb 12:18 For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, (Mt. Sinai) Heb 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, Heb 12:23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, Heb 12:24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. === Why did Jesus correct the woman at the well when she said earthly Jerusalem was the place to worship God in the passage below? Joh 4:20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship." Joh 4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. Joh 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. Joh 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. Joh 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." === 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 2Pe 3:11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 2Pe 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. (See also 2 Thess. 1:7-10, where Paul describes Christ returning “in flaming fire” taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel.)

@@briarpatchson3039 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 speaks of the first resurrection and those with God's seal, not of rapture. The dead who died in Jesus (because of their faith) will be resurrected first, then joined by those who love and follow Jesus and whom Jesus chose to be priests with him in God's Kingdom to be taken to heaven (after being transformed) to co-rule with Jesus from there. "And I saw thrones and they sat upon them, and sentence of judgment was given unto them; and [I saw] the souls of them who had been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus and because of the word of God, and such as had not done homage unto the wild-beast or unto his image nor had received the mark upon their forehead or upon their hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: upon these the second death hath no authority; but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him for the thousand years." Rev 20:4-6 The first resurrection is a resurrection of those who are chosen to rule with Jesus over during the thousand years. To this group will also belong the chosen ones who will be still alive at Jesus' coming. Read more about this group in Rev 14:1-5. Clearly not every follower of Christ will be a part of this small group. The rest of us will be a part of the "great crowd" from Rev 7:9,10. Allelujah!

If Dr. Tour is so confident that his statements on origin of life are factual, why doesn’t he publish his critiques on origin of life research in reputable peer-reviewed journals like Nature or Angewandte Chemie? It’s not like you can’t publish critiques in these journals. I read 2 critiques published in Angewandte Chemie and Nature about how a compound made by Stephen Liddle’s group may not exhibit aromaticity. Why CAN you publish critiques on those topics but not origin of life if, like Jim said, they’re both basically synthetic chemistry? Critiques: [{Th(C8H8)Cl2}3]2− is stable but not aromatic, Bonding in a Crystalline Tri‐Thorium Cluster: Not σ‐Aromatic But Still Unique

Now obviously you won't be killed, but none of these journals accept anything other than evolution related topics. This has been tried before and it doesn't work; Institute for Creation Research as tried this, Answers in Genesis has tried this, Kent Hovind has looked into this, and many others as well.
