I used to tow part time as a side gig on weekends. I towed this gentleman who told me his life story (was common), and when I dropped him and his car off at home, we shook hands. This man was 84 years old. I am 6"1, built, and in good shape, and not many people would challenge me. When this man shook my hand I swear I nearly squealed like a child, and I shake with a firm grip as wet dishcloths are not a handshake. He had the grip strength of someone I have never met, like 'brick-crushing' hand strength and have never met anyone like that since. I was around 48 at the time, and there's no effing way I'd ever pick a fight with this man. Never, ever underestimate the work or strength of those that came before you. Revere it, respect it. You're standing on it, and with a little luck you'll learn something from it.

But once his family returned home from ww2 America was already a whole other place. Crazy how fast this country changed in less than 10 years! My gradfather passed away a year ago, 2 days after he turned 97. Its almost (what would be) his 98th birthday and i loved him so much. This video is so heartwarming, and makes me think of him. Ps.
