Had never heard him before and I came across him on youtube... WOW it was this song I first heard and the lyrics resonated with me. Perfectly describes my relaationship with my abusive manipulative now ex wife and my use of pethadine/Vicadin although never IV but still an addiction both of them and after 5 years of seperation my ex wife still haunts me just as I think my life is starting to move foward I am physically haunted by her droping random belongings of mine at my home when Im not there and 5 yrs ago she said she had nothing more of mine although I knew this wasnt true and still emotionally haunted. Aborted children and hit me with cast iron frypans. I have not been able to have a relationship since we split ans scars are still way to deep and I wonder if they will ever heel.

I'm glad you're in a better place❤ I was in a similar situation, well probably not the "same" but I lived a "certain" lifestyle and who I was with, my ex fiance that had another "name" broke me down to nothing. A narcissist, controlling I felt I was nothing, and also nothing without him. I have PTSD after that relationship that's how toxic it was. This song helped me get through it. And even though it hurts still, I listen to this song to remember I'm worth something, I am somebody. Thank you Isak. Besides this song all your work is powerful and beautiful. Definitely a song about being close to a narcissist. Took me a while to fully understand what it meant. To me, the line "i was lost until I found me in you " and the few lines after were the hardest to understand. It wasn't until someone showed me how my behavior changed around someone who is a narcissist that I was able to understand it. I turned into a different person that was more cruel.
