Excuse me doctor but i think I suffer from a new type of isekaitis, and require your advice. my type of isekaitis seems to pull a few similar symptoms from the other type of isekaitis. I would like to clarify several things before I list those symptoms off. 1. I am diagnosed with autism and ADHD but have gone through decades worth of therapy that I can rely on all of the positives of these diagnosis's (such as being calmed by sugar and caffeine instead of energized by them or being unable to feel depression under the influence of drugs) with minimal (but still major) negatives. 2. I am not a total jackass or am the best in this world I have been brought into, I can certainly handle my own but there is plenty of room for improvement that can be achieved through practice and study. 3. i have been affected recently, a maximum of two days. 4. I am not a plank slate harem anime protagonist and am by no means in anyway shape or form perfect. I have plenty of personal flaws some make up my personality while others can be over come to make me a better person. 5. the world i have been pulled into seems to draw similarities from several different books, anime and games that I have played. 6. my younger brother unfortunate surfers from isekaitis D, I may have contracted it from him. Symptoms: No god like figure has explained my situation to me, I have been to a tavern and there doesn't seem to be a demon king of any kind, yet. i do have a distinguishable personality, as i've said before, and I do have loved one but they are all going through isekaitis as well but strand of it that are already known. I have no idea if i will re-spawn if i die. I have found my self in a group of what seem to be outcasts of various races. The boy girl ratio excluding myself is 2 boys and 3 girls. disclaimer 6. both the girls and boys seem to be already romantically involved with each other. each of them hold their own weight and none of them are just blank slates. the third and final girl seems to be a kuudere. I do find myself more attracted to her however I am unaware if she has these same feelings for me. not for a lack of picking up on social ques but because I've only known her for about a day and a half. disclaimer 7. i did not say i am in love with her because lets face it love at first sight is a fantasy and is rarely ever the case, i said i was attracted to her. I have been transformed into a werewolf vampire hybrid. my body as bean toned slightly since coming here. I still am learning how to transform control my urges for blood and the hearts of living beings amongst other things that are on my mental 'things i need to learn in order to survive.' so what do you suggest? am I doing okay and should keep doing what i am doing or is there something i could be doing better?

If u stuck in isekaitis B my rules are simple and easy to follow. 1. Stay in group. unless ur in SAO be a merchants, Blacksmith, or support(oh thats right no magic umm then moral support) that will keep u alive also stay in safe zone. 2. Stay alive upgrade ur stats and DON'T BLAME THE BETA TESTERS(again SAO OR ANY NEW GAME THAT LAUNCH) because they can help 3. If u cross protagonist DON'T fight them u need them but keep ur distant u might die 4. Even if u follow these rule beware of antigonist u might not now it yet but it either u or your working with them the trick is to catch them in act and leave quickly trust me it works

There is a danger of missclasifying your type of Isekaitis [or even worse, get the setting correctly but placing yourself in the wrong position]. -> For example: If you think you are NOT "that guy" and staying far away from him or its group/harem in a safe_zone will keep you safe; you may end up as part of a city-wide mass-sacrifice for the Demon Lord [when it shows the scope of its powers].

as a female you only have a few options when you contract isekaitis, that's either go find "that guy" and have your kneepads ready, die early so as to remind "that guy" that this is no longer the world they are used to, develop your own reverse harem only to eventually pick the one you met first anyway, or become a damsel in distress. while there is also the option of following the obvious wrong "that guy" (they are usually the one that was already popular in the old world and was considered good at everything) that choice will almost certainly end with your humiliation and possibly death especially if you have isekaitis D. well on the bright side, no matter what, if you're a female that has contracted isekaitis chances are you'll fall out of relevance halfway through the journey in favor of the new local females, especially if you were designated with childhood friend syndrome. the only way to avoid falling out of relevance is to become a yandere. choose this option at your partners risk

I would kinda like to see an Isekai parody series that isn't ACTUALLY an isekai: instead of someone from the real world getting sent to another world, it's a resident of such a world where people from Earth show up fairly regularly, and he's just kind of tired of it all. Here's an idea for an iseikai manga: Guy gets reincarnated to the most cliche'd fantasy world imaginable, catches the eye of a beautiful elf girl or something and then a bunch of attractive female adventures who decide to party up with him, plenty of monsters to kill for money, completely ripe for wish fulfillment... Problem is, he's an otaku, but not just an otaku: he's a huge fan of Deconstructions. So he is completely, totally, unshakably certain that he's in one of them. Couple that with his already-shaky self-image and mental health and you get a paranoid wreck who's dead-certain the party is going to betray him, that the magic he could learn could come at a horrible cost, that he'll end up in a compromising situation if he gets anywhere near a girl and end up getting kicked in the head by the Tsundere who's nowhere near him at the time, ruthlessly attacking a treasure chest that he's dead certain is a mimic before refusing to loot it anyway because whatever's in it just HAS to be cursed... It's charming at first, less so as he starts refusing to sleep, lashing out at the elf girl when she lays a comforting hand on his shoulder, seriously contemplating just slitting his party's throats as they sleep before they have the chance to turn on him... Eventually, he starts really slipping into villainy as he begins screwing over would-be allies, actively blackmailing his party members and so forth.

Second Step: It may be tempting, but do not cheat. Either the protag will defeat you in a humiliating fashion, or you ARE the protag and will need to learn a painful lesson so you turn into a hero eventually. Either way, its not worth the cost. Third Step: If you are bragging about your master plan that will end the game in a certain number of turns.... ADD EXTRA TURNS TO THE TOTAL! That way your opponent will think he has two more turns to spring a dramatic reversal on you when in reality its game over as soon as he finishes this round. Same rule applies to self destruct sequences. Set the bomb to go off at :42 seconds remaining.

If you're running your restaurant normally and then suddenly everybody that comes in appears to be from a fantasy setting, just keep running your restaurant normally and never set foot outside the restaurant. Your new weekly patrons will pay you in rare metals that they think are worthless and which you'll be able to pawn back in your world for crazy money and all you have to do is teach them how much better MSG is than raw potato. Should you be worried that unruly monsters might cause a problem, don't worry because you'll have become a precious resource in that new world and will secretly fall under the protection of all of the upper echelons of the magical, royal and draconic communities. For reals though, I want to see a fight happen in the isekai restaurant because it is insane how much that world would just end

However, I would set up a trade association for the explicit purpose of moving all kinds of goods through both worlds, though you would have to either keep it underground or make agreements with various shady government organizations in order not to be targeted. If someone picks isekai story they WANT fantasy, adventures etc. So making isekai slice of life is mixing genres. Yes it can work, but in capable hands nearly any premise can work. But there is nothing objectively good in this idea. I would like to remind that SAO HAD that exactly that part in it. And it was one of more boring parts, even thou I for example liked it very much. This premise would simply be DIFFERENT. And no, different does not mean good.

I disagree; we shouldn't be trying to END the disease. Much like certain kinds of tapeworms, it can be beneficial if controlled. What we should be doing is locating dormant strains of type A and distributing them to as many people as possible. I'd much rather contract Isekaitis than One-at-a-time-itis, a highly contagious disease that manifests in bar fights across the multiverse. The primary symptom is waiting your turn before attacking the solo combatant who just pissed off the entire bar. There is no cure. You may think you can power through by passionately willing yourself to fight alongside your comrade against the same enemy at the same time, but if your brain is capable of grasping that concept, then you have not yet contracted One-at-a-time-itis. A good tip is to have a consistent oc and a full fledged fantasy world already at your disposal. If you happen to contract Isekaitis, your extremely intimate bond with your personal story should transport you to that world. If you are currently able to dream in your oc in your created world, you will have a much greater chance of overcoming Isekaitis as you will be the god of your own world.

The people above except @Kahlor Quiver are wrong. You can survive and killing yourself is very edgy so you can't do that. The first step is to grow up. Get your own view of the world through experiences, studies and meaningful debate with people with opposite viewpoint than you on an issue. The most important thing is to *NOT* consider edgy anime that spouts nonsense and preaches on how terrible humans are as any sort of life lesson. They aren't deep. Then use optimism. Because these types of anime are pointlessly broody and edgy the very presence of optimism and someone to question the preachy ideas of everyone will shake the world. It will put you as a target however because anyone optimistic will obviously be the target for the "too pure for this world" cliche. This is why you need to use your smarts to survive. Don't worry. If you're in a battle royale type situation your opponents are likely to be dumber than your average harem protagonist so outsmarting them shouldn't be too hard. Be sure to avoid violence taking them down. Murder increases your edginess. And once you reach the point of no return you become one of them. If you're in the type where you're in the group and people are killed one by one. Run. Your allies all put together have intelligence equal to a housefly. To them using your brain to solve a problem is as much a foreign concept as common sense. And in case of a supernatural type just stick to the main character and wait for the "plot" to sort itself out. You'll know him by him being the most bland and boring of all. Like an Isekai main character. Oh and watch out for Umbrellas

To understand why so many anime are the same you have to understand the kind of people who make anime, and the answer is otaku. Anime nerds who spent all their time watching anime and nothing but anime until all their anime watching turned into a reality bending singularity that got them sucked into the industry where they work until 4am in the morning making another extremely generic show because they've had so little exposure to anything else they cannot even fathom something different on top of just being dead on the inside and pretty much just sketching their waifu's while putting away caffeine pills like candy because as far as female contact goes they've gone months without even seeing their own mothers, let alone any non-related members of the opposite sex. Because it is really rare to break some tropes in media. Think of most Action movies. Or most romantic comedies. Or spy movies. The tropes are so engrained that every deviation of that is a risk that most productions dont take. And protagonists of anime are almost always high schoolers, or young adults, that limits the protagonist even further.
