The Feel of the Manga is not there. This is way more plastic-looking and less dreadful feeling. If the Manga was good with one thing then it was the 'feeling of dread' and the survival-fight. This lacks it. The Intro and Ending are really Trashy. Thats someones Interpretation of the character and it has barely anything to do with the actual Main Character.

3:30 thats how it is for any species that lay 100+ eggs. because 1. when the babies are born they need source of food. there is most likely knowf food source small enough to eat at their current state so its literal kill to survive, eat the weakest among you born to grow and survive. 2. if the mother need source of food after watching them for long time then it will eat them to regain strength. even in some cases birds they eat the egg shells of the chicks recently hatched to regain nutrients. even crabs eat the babies. there is a popular vid of over thousands of tiny baby crabs marching to find safer ground but the adult crabs would grab any of them passing by and eat them.

Spider and Slime only had that surface level similarity. In Slime, Rimiru was given OP abilities at the start especially Great Sage that guided his growth. In Spider, Kumoko had to struggle and struggle in the Elro Great Labyrinth slowly gaining strength and power. The various twists throughout the plot though, especially when it involves the Human reincarnators and Kumoko herself is what holds up the plot.

there is another isekai story involving eating to power up called re:monster. dude dies, reincarnates as a goblin and their species he learn at first is a weak race but later sees more unique creatures and things they consume they gain new powers to point even evolve. so he was a weak goblin run till later down story he is now a ogre high lord with others start following him, eat too and they evolved to point him and them form a new kingdom with other demi races and human allies.

I'm not sure everyone gets the appraisal joke so I'll try to explain it. Basically in the "isekei" type anime, "appraisal" is regarded as a basic skill the main character get at the beginning yet the most important one throughout the adventure. Because it gives you all data you need to know about the object under appraisal, I guess you can call it "Google/wiki". Imagine if you live in the Pokémon world and you have no pokedex. So the joke here is when she said "appraisal", she basically meant to Google about the stone and instead of saying "this rock is made with which which elements and can be forged into some weapon and can be found where", she got "rock". When you watch this anime, just replace the word "appraisal" by "google" , you will understand better what the main character feel.

A small correction: There is not 11 reincarnated + the spider. When the elf mentions "11" she is not including the ones present there (wich were 6 including herself). So, it's 11 + 6 + 1 = 18. But one of the reincarnated said ""Maybe someone who's not accounted for, then", referring to the possibility that some of those who have not yet found (implying that they are more than 18) also reincarnated into a monster. Also, this chapter indeed does confirm that the whole classroom was reincarnated since: -The elf is being called "teacher", despite how she is going to be a student in the school like the rest of them. -Two of them reacting to Oshima, who they know as a guy is now a girl. -When the dragon pet presented herself she said "It has been a while". -Also, this is easy to miss, but at the beginning they show a guy eating food, and later in the banquet they show a guy eating in the same way.

To judge it by that blast; it could be everyone on school grounds at the time was Isekaied at one time... I took the humans having siblings and such to mean that everyone was born in the new world so the exact point of entry for each person along the new worlds timeline was different so that as a species they would be "teenagers" at this point. I read the manga but never saw much on the human side so have no clue what the deal is; last I read Spider-chan was up to the last floors before escaping the cave and still had no clue about her fellow classmates. I look forward to this series. Also that is an awesome End Theme and I liked it more than the great opening.

The anime is based off the Light Novel rather than the manga. In the light novel, they would shift points of view from Miss Spider and the classmates constantly, eventually settling on miss spider's point of view (for the most part.) So the differences you'll see I guess compared to the manga is likely because of how they adapted it? They could have simply taken the same route as the manga, but instead chose to maintain the story jumps.

Finished volume 4 after skipping volumes 1 and 2 of the light novel and, I gotta say, it is VERY action packed. There's 10 volumes out so I don't know if it continues like this but I definitely think that the action doesn't stop at all for our spider mc. It does calm down for the human scenes though.

its explained later that everyone in the class, including the teacher, who reincarnated as that elf girl. Died in that blast and was reincarnated in this world. Also, it gets really good. Keep watching.

Well, to be exact, there are 15 students + a teacher reincarnated... There are only 11 others that are gathered by the teacher, part of the other 4 is the Spider
