So yea...not the best person to answer that... But if I can say something as objectively as I can, is that you guys have different priorities than us...more personal. Your Fi is dominant so you focus on what matters to you. If that's us, well, lucky us. INFPs can be very dedicated but lack of the grip some situations might need you to show. ISFJs are very very strict with organisation, so we work in different pace. Also, as sensors, we are more into acting on our ideas, something that intuitive types most of the time might hold back from doing...for their own reasons. We are more focused on practicality, efficiency and tangibility. Also something my personal experience with XNFPs (and Lord, I have so many in my life), taught me that they tend to be enthusiastic about something but dropout soon and try something else. They also go from clingy to ghosting very often (especially ENFPs), so this lack of stability in the relationship is difficult for us, Si dominants. Also, perceivers in general are more of the types that will improvise to what comes and they are more flexible with change, while we aren't comfortable with that really. This isn't necessarily bad. I'm an INTP and one of my best friends is probably an ISFJ (even though she thinks she's an INFJ). We worked on many Uni projects together and exchanged notes for different lessons, but she's got slightly better marks (like 28/30 compared to my 27/30). And yeah, she asked for (or better, "accepted") my notes to not make me feel bad, 'cause she made her own too. One could get annoyed or hurt over this, but I get it. Sometimes I'm like that as well. Nevertheless, I think I'm in her really reliable tier.

If you’re both aware of “you’re only accepting my notes to not make you feel bad” social charade, wouldn’t it be better if you unburden both of you by acknowledging it? So instead of pretending to exchange notes, you can do more genuine work of adding/altering to her notes the information you think are important? -A fellow INTP
@DarkBlazeLeggendaxu Жыл бұрын
@@entropy8634 You're right. Plans were initially that I'd summarize books ('cause I work and can't follow all the lessons) in exchange for her notes of what the professors'd say on the same topics during lessons. She ended up summarizing most of the books too, because she wanted notes in line with her Ti/Si, which sometimes differs from mine. She did use my notes on some topics, and I very much understand her need to follow her own logic in studying. I'm like that too. So neither of us used the other's notes exactly as intended, but we both benefited from them. That exchange kind of ended now since we're in different groups now (students are divided in 3-4 big groups based on surname initials).

INTP here going to be brutally honest with himself: - I struggle with most deadlines other than those at my English-teaching job. Heck, I even struggle with my own deadlines. I often lack sleep because of either gaming or stress caused by helping other people. - Because I'm a hopeless romantic, I actually enjoy the aesthetics of weddings. The physical appearance of the wedding has to match up with the overwhelming joy the couple is feeling. Whether or not I emotionally care about the wedding, however, depends on how much I care about the bride and groom, though. For example, I barely paid attention and stayed quiet when I was told by my mom to attend the wedding of a relative I didn't know at all. Good thing I wasn't actually told to do anything serious besides simply driving my mom to the venue. As for planning a wedding for myself, I'm fine with being budget-friendly since I value frugality. Consistency throughout the decades of marriage matters much more to me than a single short-lived festivity.

As an estj… I actually LOVE isfjs. I blindly trust them and feel the need to protect them. I dunno. They’re just very calm and very friendly and they get shit done. Esfj-I like them but not as much as isfj. Isfj never talks about irrelevant things. Esfj has a tendency to mother and talk about everyone and sometimes I just need to not be mothered nor do I care about what is going on in other people’s lives.

A focus on planning is interesting from an INTJ perspective, because I find most people misunderstand our "relentless planning" and confuse it with the same kind of planning Si users do. We're actually not big on lists and strict scheduling, the way someone like an ISTJ would be, and many of us find it distasteful. Rather, our minds naturally just take things and project them into the future and run a kind of simulation. Whereas a high Si user might look at a situation and assume they'll need object X Y and Z, based on what kind of situation it is, for INTJs (and possibly INFJs too) our mind plays out the scenario. As the scenario plays out, we'll start piecing together a plan and a selection of needed objects based on what happens in the simulation. That probably sounds cool, but it very often happens just as we're trying to get to sleep, and we have no control over it. The simulations never stop, constantly bombarding our thoughts, and sometimes I think it would be nice to be in the quiet minds of the people our type usually look down on.
@iwa2028 Жыл бұрын
This is highly relatable.. I wish my mind would just shut up, but when I play that scenario I ends up getting terrified by not having any deep calculating intuitive thought anymore 😂 Oh well, I guess this is kinda what people say "two sides of coins"
@johnknight9150 Жыл бұрын
@@iwa2028If you're Ni dominant, that scenario will play out until you have a solution. What you're describing sounds more like the Ne inferior of IS-Js. From what I understand, the nightmare scenarios keep coming but solutions don't. If there are solutions, they're often childish, simplistic, and illogical. Are you British? Your grammar reads like someone from the north of England. If so, there are some interesting episodes of Red Dwarf where Kryten gets caught in these nightmare presages, and Rimmer often has doomy but unrealistic visions of the future -- his coping mechanism is to put up a permanent armour against threats that will likely never happen.
@iwa2028 Жыл бұрын
@@johnknight9150 well, in reality, I would never consider myself as high Si user.. I would pretty much struggle in the sensor world that just do practical job in a practical way as many Si would do.. And I struggle so much doing paperwork.. lol I think that should be enough to differ me from those high Si users.. What I mean is this constant planning would eat up plenty of my nap time.. not that it would terrifies me tho, but it would be so much better if I could maintained healthy lifestyle, so I could work w more efficiency.. then I thought about the wish to get rid of them and just do the job practicaly just like Si user would do.. but then the scenario of me couldn't have those planning and scenarios-forseeing kind of ability makes me uneasy.. That's why I think I just bear with it and just plan another way to maintain my relationship w healthy lifestyle.. 😂 Oh and no, I'm not a British, I'm an Asian, living in one of southeast asian country.. I thought I'm not that good w English and the grammar, but now u said that, can I take that as a compliment? Haha But I'd still love to watch those series that u mentioned..

INTP with an ISFJ mother... and while I love her dearly, yes, I've been on the receiving end of her secret and not-so-secret judgements for the last half-century. My ESFJ father and ESTJ sister BARELY qualify as dependable by her standards. Yes, 99% of her judgements of me are things I've earned, but still...
@entropy8634 Жыл бұрын
I’m also INTP with ISFJ mother. When it comes to her judgement, I had the habit of dismissing it in favor of my own judgements based on logic alone. If it doesn’t make sense, it’s getting thrown out. But since she’s my mother and had the final authority, I was forced early on to adopt her standards and way of life. I’m now an adult, and sometimes thankful of the “common sense” she forced me to accept, like social skills, values of aesthetics, and self discipline. I do sometimes wonder if she’ll say “I told you so” in her head if I ever express this to her 😂

@entropy8634 Absolutely. Growing up in an overwhelmingly SJ family made for some stressful years here and there, but I've learned that the SJ "tried and true" holds up to scrutiny far more often than not. In particular, my ESFJ father and I have come to respect each other's abilities and insights. We don't always agree, and even when we do, it's often a matter of following very different paths to come to the same conclusion, but we find we have far more common ground than not.
