He said Mike beat up on the old Detroit Pistons team. Michael Jordan and Isaiah Thomas and Rodman are a year and a half apart, Joe Dumars is younger than Michael Jordan. Isaiah said Mike wasn’t his rivalry. Michael Jordan and the Bulls was the only team that took them to seven games. Know your facts. The 1991 Pistons were not old when they got their butts swept in 1991 by the Bulls. Zeke was 29. Dumars was 27. Rodman was 29. Laimbeer was 33. Mark Aguirre was 29. Salley was 26. Also, stop acting like who you play with DOES NOT matter. Zeke didn’t beat Jordan alone. In fact, he wasn’t matched up to MJ either. Dumars was and the rest of the team followed the Jordan rules, and he still put up insane numbers. Put Zeke on any of those Bulls teams or vice versa. As for this idea that MJ didn’t pass, he averaged 6 plus assists most of his career. He averaged 8 assists in the 1988-1989 season after being put at the point guard position by Doug Collins, while also leading the league in scoring. Oh, and in the 1991 NBA Finals, he averaged a whopping 11.2 assists per game. The only thing Michael did not do at an elite level was shooting the 3. Stop lying to win these Jordan debates.

When they snubbed MJ at the allstar game, that was decision he made, and when the dream team along, he suffered the consequences. 1. MJ, 2. Kareem, 3 Magic, 4 Tim Duncan, 5. Larry Bird. I have MJ ranked #5 all time as well but i base it on ALL TIME. Not just NBA. 1. Kareem 2. Wilt 3. LeBron 4. Oscar 5. Jordan The first 4 players had a bullseye on their back since H.S. Kareem before he entered H.S. All 4 have made their marks in a strong way in NBA history. Arguably all 4 probably would be #1 picks if they came straight out of H.S based on skills/ potential. Kareem all time leading scorer (*) imagine if he didn't go to college. The record would be untouchable. 2. Wilt. Still has over 70 records on the book and he hasn't played in over 50 yrs 3. Lebron is the all time leading scorer and is not even considered a scorer and is arguably still a top 10 player at 39+ yrs old Oscar. The original Mr. Triple double. All four of these guys had a bullseye on their backs since H.S and they all reached and exceeded expectations and in Lebron's case in the social media age and he has had no scandal attached to his name. Now MJ. Coming outta H.S Jordan wasn't even the player of the year in his own state! He went to UNC with no pressure or high expectations. He had Worthy, Perkins, Matt Dougherty, Jimmy Black and Buzz Peterson ( the guy who beat him out for player of the year in both their senior years). Patrick Ewing, Bobby Lee Hurt, Adrian Branch, Aubrey Sherrod, Ennis Whatley, Ed Pinckney, Milt Wagner, Anthony Jones, Dinky Proctor, Chris Mullin. All these guys were ranked ahead of MJ at some point during his senior year of H.S Without Worthy or Perkins MJ didnt win another chip at UNC Played in the 1984 Olympics and Bobby Knight and George Raveling were totally impressed and were probably the only 2 ppl at the time who thought he would be as good or better than Dr. J. If anybody else at that time said that it would be considered BLASPHEMOUS. Most ppl saw MJ being a combo of Walter Davis and David Thompson at best. Got drafted 3rd overall. ( Nobody was getting picked before Wilt, Kareem, Oscar or Lebron) Wowed the league ( and Larry Bird) with his flair and moves and became must see at every arena, but not winning consistently. " Yeah he can dunk and score 30+ every night, but can he lead a team to a championship?" Once that question came up....NOW came the pressure. Before that....there was none. Can't say the same for the first four names. MJ's path to greatness was much easier. He wasn't asked to do alot until he became a man. Those first four were expected to do EVERYTHING since 14 - 16 yrs. Michael's expectations didn't truly start until he was 24-25 yrs old. For the true superstars Michael Jordan had the easiest path. I am 61 and i graduated the same year as MJ so i lived his whole career from day one. If you want to say he is the all time great NBA player....thats fine, but ALL TIME basketball player.....no sir. Not ahead of those four.

@missy… If you can’t bring the ball up the court and initiate the offense or even run a pick & roll as the ball handler, and if your game starts to wane and wane dramatically at the FT line you’re not better than Mike. And having 1 ring disqualifies you from the goat debate.

@missy… Mike has 10 scoring titles averaging 2,500+ points per season. Lebron has 1 and averaged 1,900+ points a season career. Mike had 200+ steals in a season 6 times and lead the league overall 3 times. Lebron has never had 200 steals in a season or lead the league. Mike (SG) had 100+ blocked shots in back to back seasons and averaged 70+ blocks per year/Chi. Lebron (SF) has never had 100 blocked shots in a season and averages less than 60 a year. Mike (SG) has 10 seasons with 100+ offensive rebounds playing with no def 3-sec rule or charge arc in place which allowed teams to pack the paint defensively and big men to camp in the lane under the rim which made it harder to get off rebounds. -- Lebron (SF) played with both rules in place his entire career which kept the paint cleaner and the rim less protected than when Mike played making it much easier to get off rebounds and he only has 4 such seasons. 6. assists per game career is #1 all-time for SG. Mike averaged 6 apg or more 5 times throughout his career starting his rookie season, he averaged 5.7 apg in the playoffs and averaged exactly 6 apg in the the Finals career. So he was also a great passer.

Mike was a better shooter/scorer, rebounder and defender. The only category that goes to Lebron is assists even tho Mike has top tier assist numbers for his position. Mike was complete at a level Lebron literally never sniffed. It’s not an opinion. And Mike’s team won and dominated at a level none of Lebron’s ever have. They won 6 championships in the form of two 3-peats and never lost more than two games in a row in the reg sea, playoffs or Finals during that time. That’s a level of dominance not even Russell’s Celtics achieved during their run.
