ISIS: Inside the Army of Terror

On Wednesday, April 8th, IPI hosted a Distinguished Author Series event, featuring Michael Weiss, co-author with Hassan Hassan of ISIS: Inside the Army of Terror.

I am about a third of the way through his and Hassan's book and it is a must read for those interested in this area of the world. It's basically a history of jihadism; the Iraq War; and also discusses in minute detail the rise of ISIS and the implications for the world that we will probably be dealing with for the rest of of our lives. This is an important book. Great work Weiss and Hassan.

This man has a deeper understanding of whats going on in Iraq and Syria than the US policy makers that made blunders in iraq and gave birth to ISIS. Understanding these subtleties is extremely important to stop the carnage around the world and find ways for the west to coexist with islam

Civilians in EVERY COUNTRY are abused by powers & those seeking world domination. Tribal/local groups, like Hong Kong, barely have a prayer. Tyrants are everywhere! literally.

Of course he was photographed with them!! Is that all you got because I've been following Michael's work for four or five years. He's a good man, a brilliant man and I don't like to see him run down by people who don't have a clue. Please show the man the respect he deserves.

Very informative. Americas geopolitical actions in one theatre can seriously effect the outcome in another e.g. Iraqi Sunni's perceptions of the American lead Iranian nuclear deal. +Andy Rosebrook I will tell which part is bs. Since I'am not in the cia I usually take people on their words. In this case Weiss very explicitly state's that defeating Isis would be a grave mistake. Sunni are the majority in syria which happens to align with Isis's ideology with some ways. There for harming Isis is grave mistake. Because the butcher assad who is loved in syria which you didn't know needs to immediately be decapitate and nothing would make Weiss more happier. Hooray another iraq, libya and plus syria.
