A good tip for exploring the caves, get night vision potions! You already have an easy source of golden carrots, and it makes it very easy to see everything!

That cave has so much potential, i instantly thought of a little house hanging off of the ceiling by chains to have like an outpost very close to the entrance, a dwarf style villags down by the deepslate where all the villagers can be, big beautiful farms in the lush cave with roaming animals

I can already tell you, that he's gonna ruin any potential that the cave has with his terrible and sometimes just nasty builds. Sadly not every base on the hermitcraft server can be build by good builders, such as: bdubs, scar, keralis, grian, pearl and geminitay.

Still hurts when he gets distracted and wastes a ton of time doing trivial things or says/does something really stupid. He is one of Hermitcraft's most inefficient KZbinrs. In comparison, Docm77 isn't really about efficiency as he still wasted a lot of time on giving random hermits poppies, but he still managed to get settled in a village, build a villager trading station, build an iron farm, break Minecraft, get full enchanted diamond armour and start constructing a gold farm by episode 1. If I remember correctly all Iskall managed to achieve in episode one, is build a dirt shack and get unenchanted iron gear. I know Hermitcraft it's all about efficiency, but come on, that doesn't mean that one should make so little progress. Regarding my building skills I dare you to add me on discord, or come to my house in Hypixel, so I can show you my building skills, but if you don't want to do that, in summary, my building style is something between the style of Bdubs and Keralis. I also make organics occasionally.

@@k.g.b.1150 iskall isn’t the best builder on the server for sure, but he has his own things he’s great at. His personality is my favorite out of all the hermits. He might not seem that efficient here, but that’s because he’s having fun and enjoying himself, check out his other series’, he can be efficient when he wants to, not for your validation. Also, he tends to be on the side of posting more content vs some other hermits that might spend weeks on an episode, if all you can do is criticize it, go watch someone else’s content, there’s so many hermits for a reason.

Why keep them in symmetrical cells when you can make dècor??? The "micro-builds" are like the biggest joy of casual Minecraft for me. I've been trying to hunt for my own trident for a while now and man drowned just don't like to spawn. it's good to know they can spawn in daytime though. I was worried about that.

Okay, hear me out. I don't know what you, iskall, have planned for this Omega-cave, BUT let me suggest something: Entrance (where the lush cave part is) is nice and cozy and liveable. Maybe some farms and animals and perhaps a small village. And then the deeper you go, it becomes more and more dark and evil and then at the bottom with the giant lava-lake, there's the Nether-portal on some sort of small island, decorated to make it look like that's a portal to the most evil place imaginable. If I can give a suggestion, build your omega base near the ceiling or hanging from the ceiling as the cave is beautiful looking and would give you a great view of it and would make great for launching off when you get an elytra.

What I'd do first is make the entrance hype and then build like, an outer guardrail across all the far ends of the cave, leading all the way down. I'd totally go with like, a dystopian city vibe, villagers and all. Blackstone, deepslate, the whole shebang.

I have build a monumental cave base and I used the same format that Mumbo used for his hobbit hole in season 7 (The circular design). Instead of using wood I used a mixture of deepslate and cobblestone. Just wanted to give you an idea if you did not have one. Btw you are my favorite you tuber and give me most of my Minecraft ideas.

Here's a thing about tridents and drowned that I have not tried my self but I heard that if you give a drowned with a trident a nautilus shell it will give you the full durability trident without the hassle of worrying about drops. It might save a lot of time if it works.

What would be really cool is if you built a bunch of different communities for villagers. Have like a fairy themed area in the lush cave area, and it gets more “dark” in the theme as you go further.

Iskall! With the datapack on the server you could make a golden bananas texture for the golden carrots and lean into it! It will give your items a special niche that will bring in the customers!

Before you start, I'd say stock up on things like scaffolding and different types of stone and matching textures. you would probably like to replace the ores and also andersite, granite and the infamous diorite will need removal.

When I saw Xisuma exploring this cave system in his video I knew it would be a perfect candidate for Iskall's base. Glad I wasn't wrong, it's going to be so epic, and the location is super convenient as well. Honestly when the previews for this update started coming out, I was expecting all of the Hermits to live underground this season. Especially after the apocalyptic ending to last season.

fun thing i've learned about drownds is that they spawn more in rivers than oceans. in 1 hour i got 10 tridents on my friend's smp just swimming up and down a river whereas it took me an hour to find a single drowned with a trident in the ocean

that cave looks absolutely omega, i don't think you couldve gotten luckier! i cant WAIT TO SEE WHAT U DO WITH IT :DD this also just puts into perspective how amazing Scar's season 5 big dig was. Even though I never watched s5, ik he dug that all out by himeslf, without any pre formed caves.

This update is amazing and I am so happy to see basic MineCraft start to look more like some of the incredible modded versions! I’m starting with the human settlement 1st in my 1.18 world in a valley surrounded entirely by super tall snowy peak mountains. However underneath Ive already found the caves for both the dwarves & dark elves. Also there is an amazing meadow biome close by with some hills which would be perfect to put a hobbit style village in. I’ve just got to find a dark oak forest for the wood elves & TRY to find a tall birch forest for the high elves. I would love to turn the lush cave I found with a massive opening to the sky into a pixy village but I need a mod for small doors. I may try it with trap doors & see how it looks🤔🤔 Yes…I’m a fantasy book & D&D fan. I’m also a writer, painter, crafter & builder of miniature landscapes. Which is the reason I love MineCraft as I get to both build & create the lore of a world from scratch! I can’t wait until I can afford a new PC so I can find mods to further expand the worlds I can create. But at least for now MineCraft has made its best upgrade yet & I’ve been playing since the beta! If they deliver what they promised with the next update it will be even better! I can’t wait to see what you do with the cave base!

You could see the difference when iskall is actually genuinely happy to build and when its because it’s necessary this season he sounds very excited about most things and the potential for his base and its nice to see that again
