@@hassanmars5250 Most likely Islam was first introduced into the Malay Peninsula (Malacca) by Malabari traders from the west coast of India (now part of state of Kerala). Malabari Muslims are the only Muslims in India which follow Shafie Mazhab. A lot of the Malabari traders also have Arabic blood (Yemenis most probably) due to the fact that Kochin back in the olden days (even now) was famous for its spice trading activities (some spices they brought from South East Asia eso Malacca). Zheng He is not from western China. He is from Yunnan, like these guys. Yunnan isn't in central Asia. It is one province away from China's southeast coast, just beyond Guanxi (which is on the coast) and also next to Thailand and Vietnam. They are probably more closely related to Chinese Malaysians today (mostly from Fujian and Guangdong) than they are to anybody in western China. China today officially recognizes 55 minority groups. And of course, there are many more smaller groups not officially recognized as a minority group, because it isn't manageable to thousands of groups. So, if any group contains a large number of Muslims, the entire group is classified as Hui, including those who are not Muslims. This is why Hui today are found all over China. The widely geographically separated groups don't actually have anything to do with each other. They're just lumped together by government bureaucracy. The Hui in Yunnan today is very Chinese. Completely Sinicized except for their religion. They don't even have their own language. Islam in Malaysia is very Indo-Arabian. Shah is an Indo-Persian term. All the Sultans of Malacca were named something-Shah. Most Muslims in Yunnan are Hanafi. Malaysia is Shafi'i.
@tinateh17 күн бұрын
@@danielch6662 they’re more Sinicised than some Malaysian Chinese. There was a major exhibition back in the 90s and the exhibitors were promoting the culture and products. They had a tough time explaining acupuncture to a family of Malaysian Chinese visitors, English speaking, likely urban, westernised and non-Chinese educated. The exhibitors still wore their ethnic costumes though.

Islam was introduced to the Malay Peninsula coast by Arabs in 674 CE. Also Bersurat Terengganu; Jawi: باتو برسورت ترڠݢانو) is a granite stele[1] carrying Classical Malay inscription in Jawi script that was found in Terengganu, Malaysia.[2] The inscription, dated possibly to 702 AH (corresponds to 1303 CE), constituted the earliest evidence of Jawi writing in the Malay world of Southeast Asia, and was one of the oldest testimonies to the advent of Islam as a state religion in the region.[3] It contains the proclamation issued by a ruler of Terengganu known as Seri Paduka Tuan, urging his subjects to extend and uphold Islam and providing 10 basic Sharia laws for their guidance.[4]

Nope. U need to do lots of research before u write about history. Bersurat Terengganu; Jawi: باتو برسورت ترڠݢانو) is a granite stele[1] carrying Classical Malay inscription in Jawi script that was found in Terengganu, Malaysia.[2] The inscription, dated possibly to 702 AH (corresponds to 1303 CE), constituted the earliest evidence of Jawi writing in the Malay world of Southeast Asia, and was one of the oldest testimonies to the advent of Islam as a state religion in the region.[3] It contains the proclamation issued by a ruler of Terengganu known as Seri Paduka Tuan, urging his subjects to extend and uphold Islam and provide 10 basic Sharia laws for their guidance.[4]

In malaysia you can see Local malaysian Malay,chinese and indian (peninsular malaysia) but malaysia also have A LOT of immigrant worker like bangladesh,indonesian, myanmar and more... maybe its hard for you differentiate between locals and immigrant worker but for us we can tell the difference.. every chinese here speak chinese everyday and stick to their culture sames goes to india.. but that also means theyre not really good at speaking in national language which is malay... but we can understand each other and i love the differences between each race that just show good this country can be.. except for politic and racial issues i dont think there would be a problem if we can solve that

Every tourist/vloggers tend to rely more on their info on google maps etc, but i always ask them to blend more with locals, so they will get many information about places of foods best, local spots especially from the grab/taxi driver, most of them knows best.
