Today we will witness another story of love and long distance relationship with a happy ending.
We get to visit them a day early and get to see the wedding preparations.
The bus ride will take about 3 hours.
The bride and groom will be waiting for us at the bus station.
Vladimir is one of the subscribers of our Russian-language KZbin channel "zizin na ostrove"
His bride's name is Sweetie.
Filipino weddings are very festive, especially in the rural areas. The day before the wedding, relatives and neighbors get together.
The ladies prepare ingredients for traditional Filipino dishes and decorate the place where the party will be held.
The men, meanwhile, are busy preparing the meat dishes.
Agusan del Sur is a beautiful province in the Caraga region. Agusan gets its name from the word agAsan, which means "where the water flows".
The locals are mostly engaged in agriculture. Sweetie's father is a rice farmer.
The province also produces palm oil.
It's quite difficult to get here. The road is not developed. But what a beautiful view of the rice paddies and mountains.
We got back in the car. We need to pick up Sweety's wedding gown and some other things we need for tomorrow. This is a great opportunity to see their town.
The dress didn't fit in the interior of the car, so it was loaded into the back of the car.
By the time we got home, it was already dark. There is a videoke playing in the yard and loud music blasting throughout the neighborhood. We’re not surprised, it's a Filipino tradition.
We went to a local church to watch the rehearsal for tomorrow's celebration. Boris and I came not only as guests, but also as videographers. So this is a good opportunity for us to practice.
After the rehearsal, we asked Vladimir and Sweetie to talk about how they met and each other's cultural differences and characteristics.
Boria and I started the morning with a hearty breakfast. We were served fried fish, meat and rice, a wonderful start to the day!
The number of slippers at the entrance to the house is astounding.
Today the small veranda has been turned into a beauty parlor.
The bride and her entourage are getting their makeup done.
The yard is still bustling with activity. Some are washing dishes, others are preparing new dishes.
It all just looks like holiday preparations. But I think for Filipinos, the holiday is here.
Finally, the wedding ceremony began.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and guests head to the wedding table.
The money dance is a cultural tradition of many wedding celebrations. Guests pin money on the newlyweds' clothes to show how much they are loved and appreciated and to help them settle into life together.
After the money dance, it's time for the wedding feast.
There are many Filipino dishes on the tables. Everything looks very appetizing.
But the star of the feast is the lechon.
The whole community is here today.
We were seated next to the bride's parents.
Before leaving, we gave the newlyweds our simple gift and said goodbye.
Vladimir and Sweetie, we are very happy to have met such wonderful people like you. And we are honored that our story inspires you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to witness one of the most special days of your lives. We wish you all the best and eternal love for each other.

I love weddings. Festive and joyful and you get to meet your very distant relatives. My husband and I got married in Samal Island. My family lives in Tagum City so we just rented a hotel. I was very happy my husband’s family were all there as well as mine to witness it. I arrived on the beach on a speed boat while the sun was setting down. It was magical! I had a great wedding attended by both our families and closest friends and even neighbors. Congratulations!

This is traditional Filipino Christian Wedding and still practiced in this modern days. Church ceremony is not Chatolic at all. Modern way neglecting the Christian way are being performed on Gardens, resorts, etc..

Most if not all weddings I have watched on videos on KZbin appeared to me as "pabongaan." They all appeared as though they were showing off, such as from the pre wedding, the accessories, the gown, the flowers, the reception, etc. That is understandable and normal because they were celebrating . Some of them were in tears as they said their vows, but I didn't see and feel in them what I have on this one..With this couple, one can feel the presence of true love and affection, and that of respect. They were so down to earth, had a ceremony that was simple yet they were refined and that the most important of all was their being one.

My Wife is a virgin when I married her. As someone who is very liberal about sex I now fully understand why virginity is very important before marriage. There is a methaporical sense that you and your wife becomes truly one. Also sex is much better as time passes by because you will be exploring each other. Society has departed from this tradition but who would have taught that a 3000 year old biblical instructions have a lasting good effect that is confirmed by modern statistics.

This is the most memorable moment between a Filipino and a Russian union. This kind of traditional wedding is very seldom to see within provinces nowadays. You brought us back again to the 1960s to 1970s Wedding banquets. Coz most of the Foreigners Wedding are mostly held on hotels and restaurants. But this is the kind of wedding that brings you closer to your birth province as well as to your whole family. The way Vladimir look at her soon-to-be-wife, I can see the enormous love he has for this lady. And Sweety truly suits her name for who she is.
